I also have a sneaking suspicion that with this new place and way to upload FINAL entries, that we may have missed some entries, if so speak up, upload your pic, and I'll get your pics in there, and we'll do a quick re-vote. AgentSmith

This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

3 - Doublecrash 2 - Creations 1 - Rayraz Ahh, lots of good pics here, but I think those three show an art-worthy scene better than the rest. Not just displays of matwork, but they are excellent scenes all in all, contest or no! That was my barrier with this contest, I couldn't think of a scene to use the five mats I made, so I just stared at them for a while and decided to "let" someone else win! (laughs at self!)
I looked at entries that thought of a good scene first and then thought about how to combine materials in it (so not think out a material and then come up with something like: "wow... this random material looks like I could use in such a scene"). The next three are for me the best contenders in that: 3 points - Zhann 2 points - Muddygrub 1 point - Doublecrash
3: Rayraz 2: Nukeboy 1: Dan Whiteside

It took me awhile to wipe the drool off my chin thinking of all the new mats I'll soon get to play with before I could make a decision. The only one that was a given for me was mloates. When we were kids, my brother had a mineral collection that we just loved to play with. I think the salt sample was about half it's original size by the time we were teenagers 'cause we kept licking it! I really wish I'd had this idea and had done it with my seashells. It would have been a better way to showcase them, but maybe later. Choosing two others, well, that wasn't so easy. But... 3 points - mloates 2 points - Zhann 1 point - Creations Great work and wonderful mats everyone!
Very hard to choose this time....but: Brendan: 1 Beautiful pillars and space girl. Gregsin: 2 Excellent western frontier scene. Sparr: 3 Atlantis. I was impressed by the detail and the globe that showed the continent/island of Atlantis before it disappeared. I wasn't going to vote for this one until O looked at it VERY closely. Hon Mention: Doublecrash & Zhann. The Bryster

Doublecrash 3 points Eelie 2 points Zhann 1 point Honorable Mention to Draculaz. Doublecrash and Eelie both did a great scene and put their mats in it. Zhann and Draculaz made the materials and build a scene around it. It was hard to choose between them, but I just love the colors/textures in Zhanns image.
3 pts Doublecrash 2 pts Eelie 1 pts Creations Honoury mentions go to Zhann and Drac. Geez, that was hard to pic. Well done everyone - great results on a very challenging topic.

I'm not sure what to do, I can't pick just 3 favorites. And I can't even do honorable mentions because that would include every other entry except my own. I just want to let everyone know that in this challenge you all have my vote. Some real superb textures/mats got created this month. Here's the 3 favorites of the moment but I really had lots more favorites that I wish I could vote for. 3 pts - DreamWarrior 2 pts - Bknoh 1 pts - Zhann

Here is July and our new Challenge "The DTE Blue's" is going well! This has got to be one of the more difficult Challenges since it has pushed many of you where you have never walked before, the Deep Texture Editor.... The entries are great and much has been learned about one of the most difficult attributes of Bryce; procedural textures. Thank to all you entrants, and thanks to Zhann for putting us through this, lol. The link is to the thumbnails in the new upload area (2 pages), each thumbnail has to be clicked on individually (there's no "next"), something I'll see if I can get fixed. Check out the entries, and then come back here to place your votes. Voting is the 3-2-1 method. Give 3 points to your favorite, then 2 points to your next fave, and then 1 point to your next. Votes must be in this format, or they cannot be counted. Also, do not vote like this; 1.) member1 2.) member2 3.) member3 I do not know if you mean "member 1" is your first/best favorite (which should get 3 points), or if you mean "member 1" should only get 1 point. Do it something like this; member 1 - 3 points (or) 3 points - member 1 Thanks a bunch, it will help vote counting go way faster! Now go vote!!! And, remember There are TWO pages of thumbnails!!!!!!!! AgentSmithContact Me | Gallery | Freestuff | IMDB Credits | Personal Site
