Subject: help please...How do I cast a shadow?

trying to finish a pic and would like the character to cast a shadow on the ground...any help would be appreciated! Im using P4 Nancy

ooopssss.....I got it....LOL just turned on ground shadow....duhhhhh!!!

Goto: Display>Guides>Ground Plane check Ground Plane.

To give the ground a color or texture. Assign a color or textmap in the material window. JV :D

Checking "Ground Shadow" won't make the render have a shadow, it's generally only used in Preview mode. If you want to cast shadows on the ground, select the Ground Plane and uncheck "Cast Shadows". Trust me on this. It's how it works.

Thanks for this question, my beach picture I did wouldn't render shadows either, but they were great before the render, never thought to ask, just thought it was me and my settings lol. I ended up adding them in post work with psp. Thanks for the tips!
