Dialyn - It's great... especially liked 0006.html (-: I still don't understand why it's such a large file. Did you get any feedback on the newsletter? Perhaps if you ran a list of the authors who posted during the previous month (just author name, title, and brief description of write) - people love seeing their names in print. Also, I did like having it online, rather than having to download it. Perhaps you could drum up interest by keeping it on your own site, and advertising it on Renderosity and all the more popular writing sites. That might help draw people to this writer group, too.
Well, I really have no interest in having my own website (I certainly would set the newsletter up differently if I did that). And I rather like having words in my hand. I guess that's old fashioned of me. I love words on the page. I don't feel like a writer if the words are just on the screen. Don't ask me why. I'm just very old. No one has commented on the newsletter. <<Shrug.>> But 49 people downloaded it (courageous souls). I gave it a try. That's all I could do, afterall. The names of the people who are in the newsletter include meico, jstro, and shoshanna. They are the ones who gave me permission to use their work, and I thank them for the loan.
The thing I have against web publishing is that it is too easy to copy and paste, and the credit to the author gets lost with a click of the mouse. I'm up to 51 downloads now. I guess someone was able to get to the darn thing. Disappointed but not surprised that there has hasn't been much in the way of feedback. Oh well. It was just an experiment. At least I didn't spend any money on the project.
I wasn't concerned about getting comments, but rather I was hoping someone might want to contribute. I'm verbose enough that I could probably publish my own voice happily, but the idea was to say, "here's another vehicle for the writers and maybe we could share some information that doesn't fit quite right on the forums or the galleries." The other problem is, and I'm not genius enough to fix this, is that the download size is just too large. Oh well. It was an experiment. No harm done. Thank you for the offer. That's very generous of you, but I don't want to take up any more space with this project.
Thank you dialyn for the newsletter. You obviously put a lot of effort into creating it. I thooroughly enjoyed reading it. Sorry I didn't comment earlier, but I've been rather busy of late. All I've really had time to do is flick on and off the site. I was expecting to see perhaps one or two pages of stuff, so I was really surprised by how much you produced...more of a newbooklet than a letter:-) Shanna :-)
Thank you dialyn, I thoroughly enjoyed reading Issue 2. It's a sad day when I have to admit I'm grateful to a dog for lessons in how to use commas, but please pass on my thanks to Bella. Much needed (by me) and much appreciated :-) Last but not least.. Congratulations dialyn, on winning your own competition lol:-) Hope you enjoy the book, you deserve a prize for all the effort you've put into this newsletter. Shanna :-)

because it was too large a file. There is a temporary webpage set up that shows it more or less (it didn't publish perfectly to the web). I'll take it down but I wanted you to see what I was trying to do. Don't know that I'll try again. The file is just too large.
