Each picture has qualities about it that appeal to me. I really like the texture on the church.I find the top picture the colors blend more where as the bottom picture there is more contrast with the brighter grass and flowers, so for me it depends on the mood I am in when I look at the picture and today they both appeal to me in different ways. heyas; i would go with the second one, because one of my chronic problems with art is that it is never contrasty and bold enough. so after i work on something, and think it's done, i hit it up with the ol' contrast, and then it looks even better. however, that doesn't meant it's 'right.' ;) hmm... okay, composite the two of 'em together 50-50 and call it even. ;D
The top Given the thick clouds the foggy look of the top one fits better.
Truth has no value without backing by unfounded belief.

The top one puts me more in mind of a Kincaid painting while the bottom feels more like a screenshot from a computer game. Both are excellent. The question is not what WE think, but what you are trying to achieve. I happen to like both images. If you want the soft pastel oil painting look, go for the top. If you want something that is more of a story illustration or backdrop, the second works better. Kate the unhelpful :)
