I'm not sure how you would avoid a positive comment, but point taken. You could try changing the mapping projection on the wood pillars. I, myself, would probably increase the resolution of the original shader or create a new one. You could also use some small bulb lights or such between each flame and the pillars since they appear not to throw any light on them for as close as they are.
It is hard not to be positive about such an image, but I'll try.... I think the shader on the pillars is the culprit, here. It looks like it might be repeated too often in the vertical scale. The idea of small lights at the flame is good, too. I'd suggest using those as your only light source (unless you put candles or something on the table, too). I also think there's something wonky about the scale of the flame objects on the metal dishes. I can't figure out what's burning with that large a footprint. There. Nothing positive, OK?

Here we are at the second pass of the old sword and shield on the wall picture. In the empty space under the shield I am thinking of putting a table with a crown of helm on it. The wood pillars on either side do not look right to me and I am not sure what to do about it. So give me any feed back you can and just to make this fun I will not except any positive comments :) Thanks Grimpup
