regular modern day clothes would be good, including casual, business and the like. I like period clothes too. also some sexy stuff, like boxers, jockeys, etc. I like the fetish, but ya know... nothing beats a guy wearing regular ol' underwear g yes... and a M2 compatibility would be great too, as the promos seem to tell me I'll still be using him... they are way different looking from each other. Also dynamic as an option!
Modern clothes like leather and cool suits. Period clothes like romantic ruffled shirts and old uniforms. I want ethnic stuff!! Traditional clothes from around the world for both M3 & V3. :) I use just Poser 4, so dynamic clothes isn't necessary. :)

From my understanding mike2 clothes aren't gonna work on mike3, so everyday clothes would be good with boxers and regular briefs, tshirts, muscle shirts.. I don't know about everybody else but i'm tired of knights and armor Thanks for asking by the way that was nice, not sure about the dynamic part, i always use conforming clothing.
Phil, One of the thing that would be nice is current styles of casual clothing..something along the line of what International Male has for men. Definately modern clothing too. What ever you do, include morphs for whatever morphs M3 will have. Don't let what happened with M2 happen with M3..people have made some nice things for M2 but they just won't work with him because they didn't include the body morphs...unless you wanted him skinny as a rail.
its easy to make clothes compatible for P5 dynamic, so easy in fact that I wonder why more don't do it. I've taken to actually making some clothes work that way, as they work better as dynamic than conforming often enough. yes I am aware not everyone uses P5, but for those that do, the cloth simulation would be nice... its nicer than conforming in most cases. Not wanting the stuff as P5 only, only that there's an option for P5 dynamic and for conforming, so that more people have options. yup, I am sick of knights and fantasy armor too, but some Greco-Roman period stuff would be very nice.
I would say draping clothing with real folds such as you see on the greek and roman statues, but then I have not yet seen anything that is lifelike, the folds always look fake, its probably impossible to design as no body has invented a real folding and wrinkle garmet yet, especially one with morphs and gravity, this is probably the most challenging model to invent and the one I find to be the biggest draw back when attempting to pose an acceptable scene.
Stylish, not lumpy... no matter what time frame. I don't care if it is an imperial toga or the latest thing from Armani, he shouldn't look like a Sears shopper. Authentic, if possible (or a decent fake job). Modifiable, not just morphs for body types. If boots have removable cuffs, they are more useful, for example. Carolly
Ok here's my wish list. Don't worry about making any of these M2 compatible, he has his own version of all these items.
A tunic pack with morphs for different styles (Greek/Roman, Norse, Medieval) and please make it knee length, any shorter and it looks silly.
Greek armour (not like what is avaliable for M2. Stuff like this: http://www.blackknightarmoury.co.uk/images/garm.jpg)
Greek/Roman sandles
Medival/Fantasy boots (not too complex)
A robe with hood. Morphs for hood up/down, for robe open/closed and for robe "blowing" in the wind.
Some pants similar to Steve Shanks's 1920s men's pants for the Dork (the plus 4's).
Casual pants and shirt. Morphs for the shirt to be untucked and unbuttoned, and for the pants to be loose and baggy.
A trenchcoat/overcoat. Morphs like the DAZ one. For style, see what they were wearing in the film Road to Perdition.
Casual shoes (kinda like these http://freakout.jp/sneaker/converse/ONESTARSUBW.JPG)
lol, I havn't asked for much, have I? :D
How about short sleeve shirts? I've seen long sleeve shirts, t-shirts, but no short sleeve shirts! How about some "regular everyday" clothes? Walk into KMart, Wal-Mart, Target, and look at the clothes there. How about some good "swimsuits?!" Doesn't Mike like to go swimming? How about "uniforms," such as what they wear in grocery or convenience stores? Or at a Fast-Food joint? How about some good western outfits!
i'm very eager to make a tex set like that for M3.. so i hope he gets the clothes to match.. i wish wish i could use rhino or something like that :( sadly i cannot.. hehe and yes he is very beautiful, his name is Tommie Vain ;) I would make a tex set/charcter along those lines. sound good? -SimderZ- xXx
Anything would be great in my opinion as long as it has body morphs (like your V3 stuff). I always like to make slight adjustments to the character's body shape, and it's frustrating when an outfit won't fit properly because I made the waist a little bit larger or added some muscle. ;) Thank you for taking the time to do that with all your clothing items so far, it helps a LOT. Take care. SnowS

I do not speak as a representative of DAZ, I speak only as a long-time member here. Be nice (and quit lying about DAZ) and I'll be nice too.
Phil, First we need everyday cloths. History and fantasy can come after. The usual. T-Shirt (long sleeve with short sleeve pose), Shorts, pants, button down the front dress shirt, boots, loafers, underwear (boxers and briefs - if they can fit inside the pants, that's be great), tank top, body suit, sports jacket, hooded bath robe (can double for a wizard's tobe). As for dress left or right, either one, but please, include one. No more Ken doll clothing! Morphs... the main new muscle morphs, whatever they are. Thin, heavy, the usual. Loose fit morphs on the clothing would be nice too. Specific morphs for the pants: Low rider, open left and right like with JeanZ. Button Shirt: Open left and right, blow left and right, cuffs at the wrist and the shoulder for that rolled up look. T-Shirt: Cuffs, short sleeve, tank, etc. Sigh... I'll be doing an imagination gown for him like the one I did for Mike 2 the same day he comes out, if I can afford to get him. I'd kill to get an advance copy of his base figure to begin modeling.
I for one would like to see conforming clothes for M3 that actually conform to his, ahem..."pride & joy", without having to turn them off like M2 (maybe a "compact" morph for the family jewels to fit better and simulate the constraints of clothing). And compatibility with Tailor v1.5 (or a similar software) that allows us to easily transfer M3 body morphs to the clothes for greater flexibility. Alternate versions for M2 would be great for those who are thinking of getting M3 later but are still currently staying with M2 due to the prior investments in his stuff. Perhaps we may not have to abandon M2 for M3; both can continue to be useful to the Poser community provided DAZ (and other vendors)continue to "support" M2 with the newer M3 stuff. I guess I can dream!
What progs do you guys use to make Mike clothing? I only have Raydream 5.0 @ the moment which is collecting dust... somewhere... because it's not worth the harddrive space. Does Carrara let you model while viewing other models (i.e. I can visually building around Mike's body without having to go into another window?)
Ohh I would love to see some Gothic stuff and Fetish for Mike 3 and some Casual. The more Moprhs the better easier to fit on more characters. And Hair we need lots of great Male hair please... I only use Poser 4 with all updates I do not have PP or P5 so that does me no good. And good prices so we do not have to spend tons and tons of cash to get him and some good clothing and hair some of us can not afford to spend too much. Would be nice if there was a Mike 2 verison made as well.
I'm using Amapi 5, EmpressZario. You can get version 4 for free by following the link in the banner in the Amapi forum. Other free packages people use are Wings and Anim8or. Truespace seems to be popular too. Just about any 3D modeling program that can export in a Poser acceptable format (usually 3DS or OBJ) works. The interfaces and methods of use vary so much, it may be best to try all the free versions you can find to see what you work best with.
Well I hope that there will be a good variety of everyday clothes. Historical would be good too, but what I would really like is some sci fi stuff that that looks practical, not star trekky or buck rogerish. Especially if there were good props to go with it ie, helmets, headsets and that sort of thing...I know it's kinda specialized but I've been trying to get that for Mike 2 already and there's kinda dirth of stuff.....
In my book, a generally overlooked clothing-genre for all of the Mil-family is...: Winter clothing. People who, like me, live in a country where the sun only bakes beyond 20 degrees celcius three months out of twelve, do not understand why there are no decent rain-clothing and winter-clothing for the Milfigures. So: Good winter boots, knitted gloves and caps, warm coats, wellingtons (rubber waterproof boots), etc. -Hanz
Shirts that open and billow. Something for Heathcliff--not the seagull:))If you do a trenchcoat, please watch Casablanca twice first. Still waiting on a big bulky 40's trenchcoat. With a fedora and wingtips to match. And loose trousers underneath. Dressing gowns, smoking jackets, gigilo wear [can't spell it but I think you know what I mean] Young Brando gear-- including torn t-shirt, parka, work boots. Palooka gear. Older man stuff, history professor, tattersall vests and leather patched elbows. If Sean COnnery could wear it now, it be fine with me. And if you found time for some Westly Snipes Japanese Vampire leather drag. I wouldn't mind either. There are a lot of styles. Some androgynous, some super macho, some divinely decadent, some tres sport or Sundance Western. I think this guy could look good in them all. Emily
I second queri's ideas up there at 34 and would add a Cary Grantish dinner suit and a really slick Fred Astair top hat 'n tails out fit including waistcoat......... oh and a really over the top Zoot suit ! But also to fit Mike 2 !!!!!!!!!

Evening dress, modern (the name's Mike, Mike err...) or old-style (I vant to drink your polygons). Standard modern wear too, but since V3 still "hasn't a thing to put on" Mike's going to be sitting there tapping his watch rather a lot. Definitely a good selection of morphs, please. Still P4 so neutral on dynamic clothing.
Loose fitting clothes are a definate must. Baggy jeans, baggy khaki pants, cargo pants, cargo shorts, loose boxers, loose button up shirts (that button and tuck in) I will admit, the skin tight clothing does look nice, but...i don't know too many men that actually dress like that. Realism and more modern looking clothes...!!
Realistic street clothes and manga/anime. (Not at the same time, thanks!) ;-) I don't like the dynamic clothing. I still don't understand the system well and I'd rather do a little postwork than pray I got the settings correct after the 10th try. (Especially with the overall flakiness of P5 for me.)
Just a list of stuff I have in mind...
I can't shut up can I? I've been wanting a snooty Euro waiter for some time-- the kind with the dish towel as apron-- sounds weird but looks tres continental. Simpson on the Strand waiters always togged up like that-- black jacket white shirt, long white cotten towel apron. In fact, I'll bet the Morphing dress could do one for Vincent. Emily
This thread is waaaay too long for me to read the whole thing, so please forgive me if some of these requests have already been made: Fantasy: I like fantasy clothing that is more realistic, like in the Lord of the Rings movies. No big spikes and skulls. Gothic: I like something subtle that almost passes for regular clothing, like in the Matrix movies. Modern: Gotta have regular clothing. And some gloves. :) Thanks for listening! Jay
Haven't read the thread yet so sorry if I'm duplicating other answers. I'd like to see casual baggy-fitting clothing which drapes realistically and looks contemporary. Everyday casual ware as is popular in the Western world these days. Sweatpants, oversized hooded sweatjackets, t-shirts that don't fit too tightly. You're an expert when it comes to historical and regional costumes, and it'd be great to see you do more of that for M3, but you're also good with the way clothes fit with some respect to the forces of gravity and inertia, so I hope you'll keep developing that strength as well.

Here is your chance to tell modelers what you want made for the up coming Michael 3 figure.
Also indicate what morphs you want included. All of them? None of them? A selection depending on the clothing item? Do you want the clothing to be able to be used in Poser 5 as dynamic cloth? Must there also be a Michael 2 version included? Dress right or left? .... no that may be going too far :)
The more info that is given the better chance that you will get what you want.
