Subject: Wherefore Art Thou, M3-oh?

OK, OK, my arm has been proverbially twisted.

I'm jumping on the M3 preview bandwagon ... here's a sneak peak of "Romeo" for M3. The male texture is actually the V3 Male set from Daz, and the hair is stock Poser 5 dynamic hair.

Juliet will be following 8-)

Please tell me that M3 is going to be released soon.

Looking good, I think he is being released on Sept. 1st!

No one at DAZ ever said September 1st.... I've seen that rumor floating around and it's simply not true. He's slated for a release in the first half ofseptember... they have not put an exact date on it.

vulcanis ( ) posted Sat, 09 August 2003 at 10:19 AM

That's untrue, Drax. It has been posted at the Daz site for 2 weeks now. http://www.daz3d.com/products/platclub.php

Here to be specific:

:-p :-)

Well, I'll be damned... seems that Daniel was wrong (I was told he never heard anything about a Sept. 1st release date and that the official word is just first half of September). Perhaps it was just wishful thinking on their parts?

JetM ( ) posted Sat, 09 August 2003 at 12:16 PM

Whenever. He'll be out when they release him. No sense worrying about it. The Romeo package, however, is gorgeous! He looks great Deecey

DCArt ( ) posted Sat, 09 August 2003 at 12:38 PM

Thanks JetM, I worked really hard on it and I'm feeling pretty excited and nervous ... I've been away for a while but it sure is good to be back. 8-)

DCArt ( ) posted Sat, 09 August 2003 at 12:53 PM

Oh ... one question ... do you think it needs a hat, or would that look too dorky? 8-)

DraX ( ) posted Sat, 09 August 2003 at 12:56 PM

All depends upon how it's modeled... there were a few popular headgear styles of the time... and it may work well to include it :)

JetM ( ) posted Sat, 09 August 2003 at 7:36 PM

Personally, I'd say no hat. However, I think if you want to be historically accurate--or close to--he'd have a hat. Any chance we could see a full body render? I'd love to see what you did with the lower half

Wow, thanks, everyone! (And heya Pendy!! ;-) ) I'm glad you think he's sweet ...

And, as requested, here are some full-body WIP renders (these were tests to see what needed fixing ... the "pregnancy" effect is no longer there in the pants ... LOL). And I have to do something about that boot texture, but it's getting there. 8-)

pendarian ( ) posted Sat, 09 August 2003 at 10:14 PM

I'm sure you'll figure it all out :) I'm really liking this!!!! Let me know if you need a tester LOL!!! It'll be like old times girl!

DCArt ( ) posted Sat, 09 August 2003 at 10:24 PM

Oh!!! For you posing gurus out there ... what is the best way to deal with the cape? Figure (CR2) or posable Smart Prop?

keweljewels ( ) posted Sat, 09 August 2003 at 11:36 PM

I love the outfit..a hat probably would be good...:)

sithgoblin ( ) posted Sun, 10 August 2003 at 1:59 AM

Very nice!!!! Mabye make the boots go up a bit higher, or the pants a bit lower, cause I can see just a hint of leg. I love the textures, very realistic!

keweljewels ( ) posted Sun, 10 August 2003 at 10:17 AM

I agree maybe bring the pant length down to the boot top :)

JetM ( ) posted Sun, 10 August 2003 at 12:10 PM

Oh, very nice! As for the cape, I think a cr2 usually works best. Doesn't necessarily have to conform, just parent the chest to the figure's chest. Might want to take a look at the edges of the cape texture too. My he looks fine. Juliet's sure to fall for him :)

Dizzie ( ) posted Wed, 13 August 2003 at 6:08 PM

Outstanding! Yep, needs a hat and I agree about the pant length needs to reach the boot...no skin showing for this guy!
