Subject: DarklingWear Poser5 Help!

Hello Gentlefolk of Poserville :-)
Recently I purchased some texturesets for the Darklingwear, now I attempted to apply textures to it and failed .. thinking it was me I moved on to another picture I was doing promising to come back ... I came back a little while ago and gave it a more concentrated approach.
I spent an hour and couldnt get it to go, I emailed Rena who supplied the pack and she said ...

I honestly wish I could help, but I haven't got the vaguest idea of what is going on with that weird new version textures. I've just given
up on it way too early for all the above unacceptable reasons. So sorry about this!:(

Of course its not Rena's problem because she did say that her textures were for P4 and ProPack and I know they work fine in those (Mmmm upgrade versions) but can someone possibly point me in the right direction for fixing up the pose files so that I can apply Rena's textures for P5?

If someone can tell me, I'll do the legwork and fix them then put it up as a freestuff

merknz, were you able to apply the original Darklingwear textures? If the MATs are set up as cameras and they won't change the textures when clicked, this is a problem with Poser 5, SR-3. You'll need to rename the files with a .cm2 extension to .pz2 and move the MATs folder to be subfolder of your Pose library. Its also helpful to use a mass-renaming program. If you don't have one, CKSoft makes a really good free one (http://www.musicsucks.com/CKSoft/CKRename/). Hope this helps, because I'm not sure if I'm getting the gist of this right.

Actualy I couldnt apply the original textures, after I've investigated further the textures are loaded into Poser and work fine if I go into the material room and apply them myself (with transparencies) I'll try moving them to a pose file and see where it gets me. Thanks for that

merknz, I have those camera mats for the original DarklingWear as poses on my Renderosity homepage (scroll down to the bottom of the page). At the very least it will apply the materials for you and then you can adjust them to suit Poser 5.
