Hi all, for quite a few months now Ive been 'lurking' here at Renderosity, reading everything in sight and gaining all this amazing knowledge from you all and now I feel its time I gave something back. HTML.... I often read within posts that people "want to learn" soooooo as II'm fairly good with it I thought about doin a tut but I have a few questions before I do. 1. How do I get the tut on R'osity? 2. What would people like to do in the HTML? 3. What are the rules on tuts? and finally Does anyone really want a tut? Be good Stash ;0)

Well, considering I know next to nothing (really....next to nothing!) about HTML but I'd like to get a web page up and running, I'd be interested. What little I've done with webpage development, I've done with programs that are idiot proof (well, most of the time) that build them for you. Not a bad thing, but I'd like to know more. So, I can't help you with how to get a tut on R but I'd be interested in one.

I did everything the hard way..HTML code in Wordpad, to make my last web page (long since gone, or it'd be loaded with free stuff..;), but I've done one tutorial here..go to the Tutorials section, and read on what they want. The only real limitation is 1 pic per page..I did screen caps and documentation in Word, then you just cut and paste from your doc to the Tutorial according to the instructions. It's not really that hard once you get the hang of it.
There's an HTML section in the forums, so you could check with them as well. Take care.

But...but... I love feeling superior... OK, just kidding, great idea, I think a lot of forum regulars will be quite grateful.

I do all my pages in notepad, I find coding them myself cuts down on the bloating most editors add, and makes them more versatile.....I keep a natepad template (table)of my galleries, so when I have new stuuf to upload I just plugin the names and go.... it's really not that hard to learn....but a tutorial never hurts. And there's a really informative book called "Web Site Design made Easy" by Dennis Gaskill, www.boogiejack.com, well worth the money, it's the one used most in schools to teach HTML...

I'd like to know how I make a rollout tab that comes roling out if I move the mouse over a trigger object. Lik having a button that says 'menu' and when I put the mouse over it the menu form comes crolling out and I can sellect a button from the menu by placing the cursor above it and click it to ativate the button. I think that's best done using some CSS code in your HTML, but unfortunately I'm not really good at it.

I usually use Hotdog or Notepad for HTML coding. I think Hotdog doesn't support Javascript and CSS though.
