Polyette and some boots are available for Poser 4 in Freestuff Millie/Vickie and Conforming Figures, respectively. Do NOT download Polyette if you do not have Victoria. Do not DL either if you don't have Poser. Neither will do you any good ;) She is the P4 Nude Woman w/Vickies head. Enjoy! polyette.jpgboots.jpg

Love to see some work done with Polyette. So if you make something, please post it here or e-mail me the image URL @ warrior@3dworlds.org Thanks.

So she starts out without any morphs applied??--you just have to move the morphs from Vicky to Polyette?? Great--I'm dling her now. Also, the boots would make great "Wellies"--you know, those green rubber boots that the Brits use for gardening (and US now too). Diane B

The Vicki morphs of Zygotes need to be applied through Morph Manager, same way as with renapd's Rose Dawson figure. A MAJOR suggestion is to DELETE the morph targets from the Polyete CR2 file BEFORE importing the Vickies ones, as there'll be dead dials for the head if you don't. That was my bad in not cleaning those out first in the Polyette CR2. Textures- I cleaned out that info from the CR2 as well, so you just aplly whatever textures you want :o) Difference in mine to hers though is the actual head is there, not a modified version of it. The neck was adjusted to fit from Posettes body to Vickie's head, unlike the Rose Dawson figure. Given your artwork that I've seen, i'd dearly love to see what you can come up with for her.

Can someone tell the different steps to remove the morphs from Polyette and how I can move the ones from Vicky to her? It may be very obvious but not for me Thanks Claude

WarriorDL ( ) posted Wed, 12 July 2000 at 7:53 PM

Sure- In Morph Manager, upon loading the CR2 files, click on the + (plus) sing next to the Head entry. Morphs should appear. Right click on that, and then you can either delte (Polyette) or Copy (Vickie). The Copy will automatically copy over to the other CR2 file.

Thank you thank you thank you! Momodot had been trying to do this but gave up on it. I was hoping someone else would do it. :o) does the happy dance as I go off to download it

WarriorDL, Excellent job on the body/head blend. When I first got Victoria and before the clothes pack came out, I tried to merge Vickie's head with the P4 woman with very limited success. I finally gave up. One thing though. Polyette's neck isn't mapped quite right. I fixed it by using UVmapper and shrunk the neck down to fit the P4 woman's template. Works great now. Just to toot my own horn a bit. Hmm..that doesn't sound right. Anyways, I've uploaded a P4 woman texture of Staale's that I converted for Victoria. It works really well in combination with the original for Polyette. Later, hdrider

Whoops--just posted an example of the neck problem above. Well, Arcady, you'll see what we're talking about. Love Polyette--already have her morphs moved, etc.--rendered her with textures and found the neck problem so didn't move on with morphing until I figure this out. hdrider, would you mind explaining exactly what you did with UV Mapper? Did you take Polyette into UVMapper and create new template or what? I can't quite follow what you are doing. Diane

Hdrider ( ) posted Wed, 12 July 2000 at 10:51 PM

PolySample.jpg Diane, Here's what I did: 1) Took the original Polyette model into UVmapper (You might want to backup the original) 2) Use the select group in the menu and select the neck 3) Select the frame around neck and resize it and move it down a bit 4) Save the model If you save it under a different name, you'll have to edit the cr2 to point to it. Also, if you already have loaded the Polyette fogure in Poser, you'll have to delete the Polyette rsr in the geometries folder. Hope this helps hdrider

Thanks, I opened the Polyette in UVMapper and just closed it up again LOL. The map was crazy--I saw several 'necks', but I'll figure out which one. The face was superimposed on the body, then there was another body. You didn't remap it did you--just select the neck?? I have to admit I haven't used the 'select' ever but think I can figure that out. I understand about saving the model and editing the cr2--just hoping I can get the map right. Yours looks fine--so--then you used the p4 map over that and painted more 'neck'. If you do that, can you continue to use the Vicky head and P4 body or do you have to completely redo the whole thing? gosh--hope not--that seems drastic. I may rather do 'post' than that G. Diane

picnic ( ) posted Thu, 13 July 2000 at 12:35 AM

WEll, I went in, selected the 'neck', pulled it down to an empty place on the map, saved it as poly2 template, saved the poly2.obj and am getting ready to edit the cr2--we'll see if it works. Oh, took the poly 2 template into PSP, overlaid the P4 body map and also painted in the neck part I selected out, left the rest the same. I don't know if this is what you mean, but I'm trying it LOL. Its way toooooo late to be trying this, but what the heck, huh?!? Thanks--others will have the same problem, so its good you figured it out. Diane

Hdrider ( ) posted Thu, 13 July 2000 at 1:02 AM

Diane, That'll work more than likely. The reason I remapped it is beacuse I didn't want to have to make new texture maps just for this model. This is in the category of "Why didn't I think of this"! If I get permission, I could just upload the UVmapper uvs file. You could then just load it up and save it out. hdrider

Excellent work Warrior - very impressive Paul

picnic ( ) posted Thu, 13 July 2000 at 6:45 AM

hdrider, it did work. Thanks for the tips G. However, there again, others will have the same problem and will most likely appreciate the uvs file. For me, I just learned something new--I had had no occasion to 'select' in UV Mapper but now I know how to do it and how successfully it works. Thanks, Diane

....ehhh I see I forgot to mention in the Instruction text L For the neck, what I did was just color a little larger area around the neck on the P4 Nude Textures, cuz yeah, the neck is new. Glad you folks like her :o)

picnic ( ) posted Thu, 13 July 2000 at 11:51 AM

Shoot, that's too damn ---eh---eh---- EZ!!! ROFL I should mention though, that I like her longer neck-Posette's looks a little stubby after using Vicky's for awhile.

WarriorDL ( ) posted Thu, 13 July 2000 at 12:35 PM

As you know, Vickie has TWO neck parts- neck and Upperneck. The Upperneck part was welded to the top of Posette's neck, hence the difference. So it's half Vickie's neck, half Posettes neck, yet grouped as only neck and textured as only neck. Better to keep the neck as one rather than seperate, even on the textures. One less texture to have to load into Poser ;o)
