Looking for off the cuff, general crits here. What impoves this image? (beside the recycle bin..lol). Lighting? Mats? Anything? -Only post was quick smoothing-Dodge/burn to the hair. Thanks for checkin it out and suggestions. -Bruce

great pic! LOVE the boots...lol ummm only thing i can see is, maybe her upper arms...the left one is good, but the one on her right seems kinda disproportionate. With that curvy of a bod, she would have some curve to her biceps as well. and that would even out the elbow some also. look slike there's some curve there, maybe just needs repositioned? more towards the top rather then hanging in front? lol just what a sleepy eye sees.. GREAT pic! JenC

Heh Heh, The other half of the gene pool probably disagrees with your crit, Zhann. Looks fine to me. I`d maybe tweak the contrast slightly, but not too much.

Shadows? Pretty important, those.

Looks nice. How about a more silky look to the skin and a touch of gothic make-up and a very dark misty lighting set. Maybe some blood on the knife. A bit like she's just on her way out of Vampirella's castle after killing vampirella for messing with her boyfriend. That way you have a tripple 'S' image. (soap, skin and slaughter)

Personally, I don't want any woman with a sharp implement in my bed (think about Mr. Bobbit). :^)

Thanks for all the sugguestions so far. I should have mentioned that I will fix that elbow in post work. I should have been more clear that I plan to do post work, just wanted to post this and get suggestions as far as bryce work. Shadows are on, but since the sun is disabled, it seems that all the lights are not giving me a good strong one to work with. I may have to add something in post for that as well. Thanks again all. -Bruce

Well...it looks like for some reason she isn't casting a shadow...

ocddoug ( ) posted Thu, 14 August 2003 at 5:18 PM

I agree about her right arm. Perhaps the lighting could be a little brighter, on her specifically. The lighting on her and the lighting in the background seem to be competing for the focus of the image. That's just the way I see it. I really like this work, can't wait to see the final. BTW, where's that sink/blood pic!? Doug

striving ( ) posted Thu, 14 August 2003 at 5:33 PM

Thanks Doug, I was debating if the lighting brighter on her was too much, made her look to detached from the background. I hate lighting..lol. I will work on it more. I think you are right with the competing.. I didnt think of it like that.
The bloody/sink is on my HD! lol.

If you burn the ground slightly near her feet, you could simulate vague shadows.
