Hi folks, hope you're all more informed that I am... I just tried to access the Corel website and no joy. I wondered what had happened. Perhaps their servers are temporarily offline, but I'm guessing NOT. The reason was to download the latest Bryce5.0.2? patch for mac OSX. Perhaps there's a new way to obtain it online - if not, my buddy Clark (potamus) has a copy on a CD he said I could borrow. Apparently there were some small bugs which were patched and the update was free. ... Then, what's happened to Corel? I saw they were acquired by Vector Holdings, a very interesting and capricious, secretive company from the article in WIRED magazine. Being a tobacco company, I wondered what they would do with this mysterious and fascinating bryce creature. -still my fave app, lemonjim (just not informed!)

OSX? Does anyone remember what files the patch needed you to replace? I'll send them to you when I know what they are, lemonjim.

thanks, antevark. it's really no effort for me to get the patch updater thaing tomorrow. no need for any sweat. it's just blocks away and i plan to visit potamus anyway. i appreciate your diligence! -bummed that www.corel.com didn't answer the telephone anymore, but we've been through this with MetaCreations products before, eh? ... they always re-emerge somewhere else because like rasputin, you can't kill'em! - jim

The Vote Page is Updates.

Corel is in Canada, where some of the blackout has been taking place. Maybe that's the cause.

Btw, Vector capitol whom bought Bryce is a Venture Capatilist company/group...not a tobacoo company. ;o)

The page is working again cos I just downloaded the Bryce Lightning update as well to be safe. The link takes you directly to the Mac download page for 5.01. I have it on CD if anyone needs it later. I dont suppose that Corel would allow us to keep copies of all the patches in the Back Room here? Bryce 6 for OSX ?!....sigh!....

hey, it's working again today. of course, NO ELECTRONS mean you can't look at ELECTRONIC stuff. Duhhhhh! stupid me, whew, i had visions of tobacoo-induced armageddon, glad they're just heavily moneyed people with a similar name. so thanks all, i am happy as a pig in s**t again.
