Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 02 10:01 am)
LOL! I'm tempted to become a Poser person myself if money stacks up like this! (Gee, we all seem to have models with better wardrobes and no worries about retirement since few of them have to work at a job.) This looks really good and useful as filler in a lot of scenes: stacks are nice for bribery payments in some seedy warehouse district and the singles for restaurants and florist shops. Carolly
I do not pretend to be an authority on the subject of counterfeiting, but I have been led to believe that it is illegal in the United States to make scans of American currency. Again, I could be wrong, so do not flame me if you know better than me, but I don't want to see anyone get in trouble. Sincerely, Jay Button
it's illigal to scan in..you can make versions is they are either much larger or smaller, but that's about it..
There was a prop in Freestuff called, if I remember, '80 grand', but it was stacks of money..do a search on money, or something like that..

LOL @ genny ......... Thanks. ;=]
pakled,
Smaller? ... SMALLER ... you say?
It's in Poser, how much smaller can you get? ;=]
Oh, I do hope we're not gonna get into this "Scale" thingy again. ;=[
BTW - I don't need to "search" fer any 'cuz I gots plenty. ;=]
But, thanks anyway.
On the serious side:
Trying to duplicate United States currency is a crime if it done with deliberate intent to defraud ...
-and-
... the duplicate is almost undetectable from the original by the average person.
I don't believe this is applicable for Poser bucks, do you? ;=]
Then again, if 'n ya gives one o' them there "notes" to NaySayGuy ...
;=]
Remember ... "With Poser, all things are possible, and poseable!"
cheers,
dr geep ... :o]

It has to be obvious in some way that it's not actual money. People hand out coupons all the time that look like money but the coupons are the wrong size and clearly state that they're not legal tender. Each side of the bill has to have something on it that makes it clear that it's not real money if you want to give away the textures and not risk the Treasury Department getting really antsy. To be on the safe side, you might consider just giving out the prop with the UV Mapping and let people insert their own currency textures. (If someone managed to alter your texture to make it look legit, there's always that small chance you'd be blamed for giving them the tools to do so. Yeah, it's stupid, but you can't underestimate the legal system. Although giving out the nice side textures you have for the stacks wouldn't get you into trouble.) Nice job on the mesh, btw. Does it have a fold longways, like some people crease money to give as tips? Cheers!
There have been money props put out for quite a while - just none of them look good enough to download. This is for personal enjoyment, non-commercial use only, LOL! Just as you can torture AMG from DAZ quietly in your room, you can pay off your poser thugs with scanned money. If this is a problem I can have them made elsewhere.
nah..I'm just repeating what I remember..the size thing only relates to the actual dimensions of a real bill, making them off-size makes them obvious forgeries, and I'm aware of Poser's scaling peculiarities..been trying to make Poser props, still getting a handle on it..;)
show them the 'trick' of making them 'smile' or frown by the double-fold around the mouth..;)

This is kinda tacky, but i'm looking for US 50's & 20's that are morphable props. I don't have a scanner handy... It's legal as long as you don't pass it off as money. Any one seen such photo real props? Thanks !
