THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Field of View (FOV)

i have a question here, how many people actually use the FOV control. I have been seeing all these wonderful pictus online lately but it appears to me that people really aren't making very good use of it. Maybe it is the photographer in me that wants to change the lens to something other than a 40mm lens (which is the standard 60 degree view you see in bryce). Up close to an subject with a wide angle lens makes a great scene especially when using poser figures. Use super wides and make panoramic pics. I would write a tutorial if I thought anyone would be interested. here is a listing of FOV from my nikon 35mm arsenal 8mm 180 degrees 14mm 114 " 24mm 84 " 35mm 68 " 40mm 60 " 50mm 50 " 85mm 28 " 100mm 24 " 135mm 18 " 180mm 13 " 200mm 12 " 300mm 8 " 400mm 6 " 500mm 5 " 600mm 4 " 800mm 3 " 1000mm 0.8 " (don't even ask me to sell this I just turned down $10,500 US)

This would definately be very useful to understand. I would be very interested in a tutorial. If you post it I'm sure a lot of people would download it. Go for it!

i am working on the tutorial, i however got swamped with photo restoration work enough for 2 weeks or so. If some people want to help. i will set the scenes up and you all can render them for me.

I'd love to help but I'm working on a large logo project and only have access to one PC. I'll let you know if I get some free time.

I have added an FOV tutorial that goes to the other end of the extreme for portraits using poser figures with FOV ranging from 60 to 1 degree. http://www.geocities.com/bradhartbryce/index.html
