My belief is that there are places in this world where the 'walls' for want of a better world are weaker. Perhaps the things we see as magic are not possible in our world but they are else where. Or perhaps things are going on around us that we just do not notice sort of like the magical world of Harrey potter. I hope this is true because being a romantic I like to belive that King Arthur and his knights are waiting in avalon to defend his country along with the cretures and beings of myth and legend and that someday we will all learn to see without the blikers of our own making. Dave (who has more stories if anyone is interested)

My grandmother moved into a house where the previous tenent had died. On several occasions all members of my family felt a presence in the house, in particular there was a icy coldness that would seem to fill the hallway even on the warmest summer days. I stayed there on my own on one occasion and it was something I would not do again. When I was in the kitchen I heard a noise and as I turned to see where the sound had come from I felt a chill sweep right through me, move away then come back and seemed to cling to me I walked around the place trying to get away from it but it stayed for a good 10 minutes. Later when I was in the bathroom I heard someone at the front door and I knew that my family were away so it couldn't be them, but I heard the door being opened so I got dressed as quick as I could and dashed out into the hall to see who was there, but there was noone only that cold chill in the air. When my gran was living there she became very sleepy and would fall asleep all the time, before she moved she had been quite active but she said she felt as if a cloud was coming down over her head and drawing her into sleep. She also became very weak and ill after a few weeks of living there and eventually my mum decided that my gran should move in with her, so she left the place and suddenly she was back to her old self. Whatever was in that house was not good it seemed to want to hurt people and did hurt people to varying degrees. I have more tales that I may write later.................. Catlin

A little bit off topic,... My boyfriend once woke up with a start beside me early one morning. I'd been thinking quietly in the dark about getting ready for work, and he'd been dreaming about a plane crash that happened just off the coast. He was really upset about the dream and told me about it, saying that the last time he'd had a dream like that there'd really BEEN a plane crash; then he turned the TV on and got the news channel, which reported on a plane crash just off the coast, less than an hour before that very moment. He has never seen a ghost, though, and he'd very much like to.

I dream about plane crashes all the time since I was about 12. It's always different planes and I see them from the ground before they crash. This never bothered me until last year when I had one of these dreams the night before I flew back from holiday. I'm still here though, or am I? Oooooowoooo (rattling chains etc).

I used to dream of a plane crash too a few years ago. There would only be a plane and the air, but never the ground, however I knew the plane was going towards the ground very rapidly and even without the ground being visible I knew exactly where the ground was. I would dream that same dream over and over again for months. Every night I'd have that dream once. And I always woke up at the point the plane hit the ground and that was always at the same time; 3:15 in the morning. I know that time because when I wake up the first thing I look at is the clock. I also have a story that would fit in with your ghosts stories. I was taking a shower one morning and suddenly I felt this icecold hand on my back. I thought someone was standing behind me and I decided to hit whatever was behind me. Not really hard, but just to let whatever was there know that I didn't want that hand there and that I wanted some privacy when I was taking a shower. I never hit anything, but just when my fist got where I was supposed to hit whatever was behind me the hand disappeared. After that I looked behind me but I never saw anything.
