Subject: version question on products

I hope this is the right forum..... I'm new here and I'm wondering if products that say 'Poser 4' required or 'Victoria 2' needed will work on higher versions. I have Poser 5 and Victoria 3. Will product that were written for Poser 4 and Victoria 2 work on my software? Thanks!

Hi mlolya, First off, Welcome to Renderosity! :) I'll ask my Poser technical guru JeffH to answer the compatability questions. I know Poser Pro Pack based products will work fine in Poser 5. However, Poser 4 uses a differant file format for the library images files (.RSR) and I cant recall if Poser 5 will convert these to the file type it requires (.PNG). I'll ask Jeff to reply...I'm sure you will get posts from fellow community members as well. Clint

Most things made for Poser 4 (but not all) will work in Poser 5.

Best to contact the merchant and ask before purchasing. Some models will not render correctly in Poser 5.

Victoria 2 textures, morph targets and clothing will not work on Victoria 3. The mesh and mapping are different.
