where are the animations? i never see any real animations done with poser regardless of how powerful and easy its animation system works. if you've done an animation with poser, one that you're proud of, can you post me a link? i really need to see one. thanks!

I do at my "day job" You can see a flash animation on the front page. I use Poser to animate our products for web ads and presenations. (I principally use Flash, and never learned how to upload Flash to Renderosity! me bad!)

There are a couple of reasons why you don't see many animations around here... 1. Animation files are just too big to host and download conveniently. 2. Animations take so much work that they tend to be done for pay (hence copyrighted in a serious way) and less often for sheer fun.

Yeah, I did a pretty cool short animation test with a combo of Poser, Truespace, and Aura 2, but I have nowhere to host it. I am working on a Longer animation which I will get up on the net somehow though. (working my way up to DVD length. :D) If anyone can host a 13.4 MB XviD let me know. :D

Don't forget www.belino.net - rendered in Vue, but animated in Poser.

I've just started, but I'm really proud of my sad pathetic little 3-second-er.

I've done some, too.

I think CL may feature a story about this one on their site, but I still have to mention the short "Same Difference". You can see two excerpts of it

and

http://www.soulhill.com/DIFFERENT.mov

The full animation is around 13 minutes. It's done mostly in Poser, and I believe that the excerpts above were even rendered in Poser 4. It's a very cute story with nice animation. Of the two, I particularly like the second excerpt :)

Check out: http://www.3-axis.com/demos.html We have the intro and animated short from the Poser 5 Demystified video up there. The figure and animation files for the Short are included on the CD-ROM that accomodates the video. This way you can use them to create your own animation. Woo Hoo! Give it a few minutes to Start playing when you click on it. We are still working on getting them to stream. All the best, Joe www.3-AXIS.com
