EasyPose Underground 1.2 is now available at the introductory price of $40.05 until September 30, when the price goes up to $45.00. Version 1.2 introduces the Switching Geometry Tool, which provides the fastest, easiest and most reliable method available for setting up switching geometry in Poser figures. Switching geometry is the feature most users would know from Anton's series of "Changing" products at DAZ. I used the prototype of this tool to set up Dystopia for Poser. You might like to take a look at the bottom of the linked product page to see some of the great comments that have been posted. You'll notice many of them come from well known Poser content makers.

Here you can see the panel that you use for setting up EasyPose figures. This panel provides you with many options to control exactly how you want EasyPose to work in your figure, but you can always use the default options and just select the important body parts in the three drop downs at the top, then press the GO button. If you've ever wanted to set up EasyPose in your figures, this panel can save you untold hours of very tedious work. The options allow you to control exactly which dials are inserted in your figure, how sensitive those dials are and what names are shown for those dials.

This picture shows the panel for dial management and for general ERC editing. You can use this panel to set up, delete or modify ERC relationships. That means you can set up Full Body Morphs here more quickly and easily than you can in Poser. You can also set up any other type of ERC relationship. The design of the ERC Relationships frame allows you to set up ERC relationships with many slave body parts at once. The Slave Liberator frame not only allows you to delete or modify existing ERC but also gives you a handy way to see exactly what ERC is present in a file and to get a handle on how it is set up to work. When I buy figures that have ERC which doesn't quite work how it is supposed to, I find this a really great way to locate and fix the problem. The Dial Manager allows you to create new dials, delete dials you don't want or move dials up and down the dial stack.

Body part properties and dial properties can be modified in this panel. It works on multiple body parts at once to save you time. You just select all of the body parts you want to adjust and then you adjust them all in one go. You can rename the xrot, yrot and zrot dials in those body parts to more sensible names, either using the international standard names that display in the user's own language in international versions of Poser, or using names of your own. You can also make body parts hidden or shown, turn shadow casting on or off, turn bending on or off (all great for architectural models) or add curve dials to each body part. Adjusting dial properties is easy too. You can choose a particular dial and adjust that dial in all of your selected body parts at once. You can hide dials you don't want users to play with or show the translation dials for body parts that don't normally have them. You can also rename your dials, adjust their limits, turn limit forcing on or off to control when Poser respects the limits, or change the memorised values of dials for the restore operation.

Here's the new Geometry Switching tool. You can add as many new alternative geometries to a body part as you like, all in one go. The dialogue for adding new meshes allows you to select more than one, so you can add a full directory of new meshes at once. I used this tool to set up DystopiaTM for Poser. I needed to add 9 alternative meshes to each of 36 body parts, but I only had to press the top right hand button once to do that. This new tool provides the fastest, easiest and most reliable method available today for setting up switching geometry.

As you can see here, EasyPose Underground is provided with extensive help systems to make sure you can always find out how to use it. Not only is there a comprehensive manual style help file, but each control has "What's This?" help so you can always quickly find out what a particular control does. Above you can see the "What's this?" help caption for the Simple Sequence Checkbox. If you'd like to take a look at the quality of the help file before you decide whether to buy, you can download it for free. Just click the link above.

Hmmmm.... Can you show some examples of where it could be used. I have an idea, but I am curious and trying to understand if it is for general poser users or model builders or... Thanks

Well, if you take a look at the EasyPose Tube 2.0 in freestuff, that was set up with the EasyPose panel - without it none of the extra dials that control multiple body parts would be in the figure. My tentacle hair in the DAZ freestuff (shown in the first picture above) was also set up using the EasyPose panel, so that's an example of using that panel. On both of those figures, I also used the properties panel to bulk rename all of the xrot dials to Bend, yrot to Twist and zrot to Side-Side, to make the dial names more intuitive. You can rename all of those in every body part at once, so it's a lot faster than trying to rename them one at a time in Poser. The DystopiaTM set that Moebius87, billy-home and I have in the store is an example of what you can do with the switching geometry tool. You can load what looks like one city block and then turn a dial to make it show any one of the full set of 10 city blocks. If you were building a machine with meshing gears, you could use the ERC and Dial management panel to make a dial that makes all of the gears turn in sync. You would also use the properties panel to turn off bending for all of the machine body parts, since gears and things are rigid and aren't meant to distort when they move. You could turn off bending in Poser, but this way is a lot faster. If you were making a room interior, you could use the properties panel to turn off shadow casting for all four walls and the ceiling at once, so the inside of the room won't render dark. I'd say this software is primarily for people who make poser cr2 files - ie figure makers and character makers. You can also use it to edit cr2s you've bought from somebody else. For example, there were some things I didn't like about a few products I've bought so I used EasyPose Underground to rip out all of the ERC they came with and rebuild it the way I wanted it to work. I know some of my customers never make figures of their own, but like having the software because it means that if they buy something that they want to have EasyPose but which doesn't, it will only take them a moment to put EasyPose into the figure themselves after buying it.

This is a great tool Ajax! I love Easy Pose, and the new geometry switching tool opens up a lot of possibilities that I never entertained before! Thank you so much for the added features!

Thank you very very much. I do hope to be that skilled, but currently I only have an hour or two free time to play with Poser, so I am not an expert enough in it to use EasyPose, hopefully I will be able to come back at a later time and purchase it.

Thanks, ElorOnceDark :-) I'm really glad you like it. a_super_hero: No problem at all! I always recommend starting with the basics.
