The easiest way is to make a simple star shaped object then place it over the object to be exploded and scale it up over time. Then while the shape is large. Delete the exploded object. But this is a very cheap looking explosion method. Another way can be to make the object a movie. Then use the eraser tool to erase parts of the object and then drag the pieces of the object apart like it exploded over time in the object editor window. Combining these two methods gives the best results. I never tried it in Flash. But I've done this in other 3d programs and it should work.

I was wondering if anyone new a method to add a real cool explosion-effect to images in Flash. Any help is deeply appreciated!
