THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Poser4 into Bryce Obj probs.Am I missing something Basic?

I've just upgraded from Poser3 to Poser4 with ProPack.Where as before all I had to do was export an obj and all was well here's the hassle I've been having. I have this cracking Harem set it makes for great exotic dancers. The first thing I noticed was in Poser even with "Texture Shaded" selected it shows up as a dot shaded out line of what can only be described as a ballgown yet hit render and it looks right. Now when I export and obj and import it into Bryce do I get my belly dancer.Do I heck as like. What I'm getting is a woman in a Cinderella style Ballgown with the Harem texture on it,all area's out side of what shouldn't be there are Black as per the texture jpeg.Is this a render only in Poser type model or have I missed something basic?Or stark staringly obvious

You have to load the transparency maps from Poser onto the model in Bryce sometimes. Select the "ballgown in Bryce and go to the material lab. Paste the transparency map for the Harem outfit from where-ever poser kept it into the center box of the dress material. Works for me.

If the Texture just looks side-ways on the model you have to rotate it in the material lab. That happens too.

Thanks for that I'll have to give it a try.Always open to other solutions if there are any

Tried it.Tested it and it works a treat.Thank you for the speedy reply. There was one slight artefact sticking out to one side but that was a minor texture adjustment.

Glad I could help. I hate it when that happens to me. By the way - I looked at your gallery. Loved your Pics - I'm a BIG Sci-Fi buff myself.
