Poor Vicky doen't have a thing to wear. Any ideas where to get clothing from the 1700-1800. I know about Poserworld, but does anyone know anywhere else? I'm also inerested seafaring, Navel, Civilian, Pirate, clothing and accessories for M2. Also weapons, mugs, buildings, dock, ships, etc. I did pick up HMS Victory, and a merchant ship at Renderosity, but I'm looking for more variety.

DAZ have the MW Period Dress/Verstile dress by Catherine Todd, and Kendra has some olde worlde textures for the Period Dress in the MP here. There's also PhilC's Romantix set, one version for V2 and one for M, which might work. PoserStyle has RenaPD & Thip's Wolf'sPact outfit (which is also in the MP here I think).

SergeMarck. You'd have to ask -- real nicely -- but he does the best historical fashion around.

Poser Fashion has good period clothing for V1, V2 and V3 in both dynamic clothes for P5 and conforming for P4

You might as well PAY attention, because you can't afford FREE speech

Poserstyle seems to have a great pirate outfit. However, I tried to register (and paid for it!) 10 days ago and still have no answer despite several e-mails and a post in their forum...

You can check with Rena also. She has some excellent stuff that you may find useful.

Complier- Poserstyle has great, top quality material, but it also has site problems. I did a little search under "poserstyle" and I got a number of hits. Just going back 4 months, Below is a rough idea of some of their problems. 8/23/03-Membership problem 8/8/03-Membersip/contact problem 7/10/03-Site problems 6/20/03-Sitedown 6/19/03-Sitedown 6/7/03-Membership problems-signon. 5/19/03-no contact for week. 5/17/03-Membership-contact problem. 4/25/03- membership extention problem 4/1/03-Membership/contact problem 4/1/03-Sign on problems The site has been been shut down for a week to two weeks a couple of times. Your best bet is to search "poserstyle" in this forum and read it yourself. It is a shame they (poserstyle), have so much trouble with their site, because the items on their site are so fantastic.

PoserWorld aslo has some very nice clothing for that era. Sailor uniforms, too. And a nice ship's deck for close ups. You have to join though.

The best stuff at PoserFashion is now only available on a CD -- these were SergeMarck' incredibly detailed historical gowns that he was putting out there as freestuff. Beautiful things, all of them, and if you can get a copy of the Empire dress, you'll have something perfect for your image.

Noggins has great clothing, in the marketplace, for example a naval outfit (called Nelson - the Victory was Nelson's flagship).

PhilC has some great items for various time periods which should be very useful

Creations-The Noggins stuff is great, I'm picking it up.

Jackson-I picked up a few items at poserworld, I think the ships deck is on a Paddle Wheel.

V1 Knight-One of the reasons I joined Poserworld was renpad's great textures, I joined and she left, it's enough to give me a complex. She does do great work.

I still need some peroid dress's for Vicky, Plain and fancy.

spurlock5 ( ) posted Tue, 26 August 2003 at 6:30 PM

DAZ has an Historic Gown package for Victoria 3 and a lot of mappacks to go with them. The gowns are typical of eighteenth century and of the empire period. This is not the same as the period dress.

spurlock5 ( ) posted Tue, 26 August 2003 at 6:50 PM

In the free archive at DAZ, they have a swords and scabbards package for the downloading. You have to be a registered user.

Philywebrider ( ) posted Tue, 26 August 2003 at 8:37 PM

spurlock5-I downloaded the the swords and daggers. I be checking the gowns you mentioned. Many thanks.
