I have a question and please dont tell me RTFM cos the Manual is in english and english is NOT my mothertogue :-) My Problem! When I add a Object, Tree or anything else into my Bryce Scene, the Object is placed somewhere! But not where I need it! Is it not possible to mark a point on the scene and the object with add directly to this point? It is very hard to navigate the object in 3d and placed it near the place I want it! Hope somebody can help me Thanks

The most easy way to position is in the "bird's eye view" This can be found by clicking the camera two clicks to the right (see diagram in the message entitled "camera" in the forum - and the pointer in the diagram on where to click) From here you can move it on a grid showing you where everything is situated in your scene. When you've positioned it from above, go back to the default view and position the height. This can also be done vice versa (height first then position) Good Luck, Clarissa

There's also a quicker way to get the birdseye view - press the "2"-key on your keyboard and you'll go straight to overhead view. "3" gives you a side-on view and "1" to return to the default camera position. Paul

Also, in your preferences, you can set things to be created either centered which would be (0,0,0) or in camera view. Set it to in camera view so that the tree or whatever will at least be visible when you first create it. Then switch to the top down view (2) to reposition it.
