When I use the group tool to make a skin tight mask. I get holes when i reopen the Pz3 file. Maybe if i save it as a Cr2 instead that may work around it. It would be real useful instead of using a prop mask.

It's hard to tell what's going on from this image. Could be a number of things. My first thought is that you have extra polygons on the mask, where there shouldn't be any. Or, when you made a new group to spawn the mask, you have extra polygons in the group on Mike's face. You can fix that by removing the group on his face, or adding a new material and setting the new material to his head texture. Again, to be sure what's going on, I'd need a seperate render of the mask by itself and a seperate render of mike's head without the mask. Preferably not in cartoon mode.

I selected the entire head, then deselcted what I wanted to remain skin color, the selected SET MATERIAl with the Group tool. At one point I did try to Prop the selection but the Teeth ccame along with it.

Hi jetson61,

Here is a possibile cause of your problem that you might want to check out.

When you "Create New Prop" with the Group Tool ...
... the "New Prop" is in EXACTLTLY the same position as the object (head) that created it.

When you have both objects visible, you will see some polygons from each causing the effect you have shown in your picture.

Check your "Props" list and delete the prop that you created. This should fix your problem.

i just select SET MATERIALS in Group Pallete. It Separates the Head so I can assign different materials to different areas. The holes don't appear until I close Poser then reopen the particular file.

Then ... ... recheck the object (head) using the Group Tool and "delete" any unwanted groups.

Attached Link: It's been brought up before

This same problem appeared in the early versions of Poser Pro. Are you running Pro? Is it fully patched up? Go to the linked topic I found on the same thing. Doug

I came, I rendered, I'm still broke.
