Just wanted to thank Wynter for the great dress and Uthena for the textures. The background unfortunately is not mine but was sent to me a long time ago by someone (not the artist) to illustrate a point. If anyone thinks its familiar or has any leads please let me know, I'd like to contact the person who made it.

Oy, that is superb Kalypso - kudos to you, Wynter and Uthena for collaborating on an excellent image. Paul

Nice. I love the hair and the floor (Bryce texture or modelled?)... Are either available for download somewhere?

She kind of ssssssssssssssssssssizzzzzzzles in that dress! Almost missed the great looking room. Don't know why, but the pic reminded me of Mae West saying "come up and see me sometime." :) Rob

That is an excellent image! I especially like the color scheme.

That's really great! Its fun to see one's work at work. I love the background, too. Also the trick with geocities is...when you click and go to a page that has a link for the download, click on that. That will lead you to a page that says its not found (something to that effect). The address is now in your locater window in your browser, if you hit enter on your keyboard, it will start the download.

Glad you guys liked it, it just came together very naturally but like I said I don't know who to credit for the background. Charlie Brown if you read my message it was sent to me and I have yet to trace the person who did it, yes, it is CG but I don't think Bryce. The hair is a composite of various hair styles and I'll be sure to include it on one of my forthcoming characters since you like it. Oh, and with the geocities, what works for me is to right click and choose Save Target As .. . don't know about Macs though.

I was only asking about the floor - it's a neat effect. So you rendered the figure in Poser and composited her over a provided background, then? Actually, this looks a bit like the thumbnail of the Cathedral "set" (COB format) I saw a while back at 3D Cafe; I wonder if it's "related"?

PhilC <------ gobsmacked! :)

Wynter ( ) posted Wed, 19 July 2000 at 4:55 PM

Hi Kalypso, I'm on a Mac, and what I said above works for me.

lmacken ( ) posted Wed, 19 July 2000 at 10:16 PM

What I do is have it fail and change www.geocities.com... to yahoo.geocities.com... and it downloads. But then the Zip fails to decompress. =(

Your profoundly brilliant render gives me a deep feeling of humility and inferiority. Reminds me of "Aleta" (SP?) from Prince Valiant. The comic and the movie. I, too, love the hair. If that was originally CG background, I'm totally freaked.
