When V3 was developed, I don't remember seeing a lot of vendor products previewed before the model was released. After the release, vendor products were released gradually. With all of the M3 vendor products being previewed, I have the thought that M3 and a bunch of vendor products are going to be released at the same time, instead of gradually as it was with V3. Can anyone confirm/deny my thought?

It'll be one very short burst, just as it was with M2. Might as well enjoy it while you can.

They are attempting to have other things for M3 becuse they realized that Vicki3 came out a little naked. So yes, they are trying to have a number of things come out at the same time.

Unless you are super-rich, the bad thing is that the introductory sales will all go away for the M3 basics and accessories in all too brief a period. By the time you can afford the basics at the introductory price, you will have to pay full price for accessories after the sales are over. That is one drawback, unless the vendors consider that and leave the accessories on sale for a bit longer than usual.

Exactly. It's a dangerous thing to do. That's why I didn't get the Millenium Cat. I couldn't afford to get the textures and poses too, and the textures won't be on sale again 'til the next DAZ sale I suspect.

I utterly sympathize. I bought the cat without textures (all I could afford), thinking that at least I would get a sale price on SOME part of the package. Of course I cannot use the cat until I can afford the textures. It was a bit sad :-( But hey, people are starving somewhere, right? That is what I tell myself when I start to feel depressed. When I think about Michael 3 coming out, the words "I'm dancing as fast as I can" go through my head! Kimberly

well I just had to upgrade HD, and memory. right now i just want Michael's base. Daz club will have products for him I can afford. You know you dont have to have all the stuff right away. i think getting the base at a savings is more important. I didnt get the cat yet, or the woodpeckers or the peacock or the swan. i will someday :).

I'm not complaining about money. I'm just saying that putting everything on sale at once is probably not going to have the effect they expect. I know customers groused they had nothing for Vicky 3 at first, and DAZ is trying to accommodate them...but, I think, the customer is not always right. ;)

I so want that Millennium Cat! but I told myself that Michael 3 is coming out and with all those things coming out at once, I just have to get the basics too first and buy the rest another time, sale or no sale but not immediately. I did, however, treat myself to the Swan :-)

....sigh........... I too passed up the cat with the impending release of M3. I already hear the cash register going but something had to give. The cat or M3 and well........ I am REALLy sorry to say the cat lost out :(

Go ahead and get the Cat, even if you can't afford the textures. There's already a texture available in freestuff to get you started, and the way people love cats, they'll be more. I couldn't afford the textures (though they look beautiful), but got the puss. It'll be the same with M3. Get him, and the morphs you can afford, and wait a day or two for the freebies to start showing up. I can GUARANTEE there will be something for him to wear by me in a less than a week up in freestuff. The first thing will be an Imagination Gown like I did for M2 (actually better, I've improved sice then), and underware.
