Subject: Looking for late 19th Century clothes for Mike

Anyone know where some Victorian era MIke clothes can be found? Like Sherlock Holmes garb or Johnny Depp affair in "From Hell" or Daniel Day Lewis in "Age of Innocence". I've found a lot fantastic mens Poser clothes from the Napolean era, but not from say 1870's- 1900. Thanks! Fin

PhilC has a Victorian Couple for Mike and Victoria and two Period Suits for the P4 Male (with the option to load Mike's head). Poserworld has Edwardian Mike. www.poserworld.com

Hi, PhilC has some Victorian clothing at his site, not sure if they are for Mike though? Steveshanks has some clothing based on items from the film 'Zulu' (circa 1879) at the Poserworld site (subscription required). I am finishing off a Hansom cab & horse harness, which will be free here once completed. I also am reworking a kit of parts for creating generic Victorian brick buildings, such as cotton mills, town halls, police stations etc, but that is a little further off. If you find any other Victorian items I would be very interested. Cheers Ian

Thanks Dan and Ian. I'll check out PhilC's catalog. Thanks for your offer of freestuff Ian. Most of the stuff I've found, you're probably already aware of: In the MP here: Maniak has nice interiors (check out the 'villa') April Ysh and Xurge have a "Top n Tails" outfit Also: 1890's attire for Vic 1/2 by dark whisper at DAZ Elegent carriage at DAZ Some other period dresses at Daz Sams3d has a very cool new haunted house and other 19th century buildings Virtual Trading at 3dc makes awesome victorian interior sets Poserstyle has a lot of period clothing but it's mostly closer to the Napolean era. Poserpros has a cool era bathtub set with sudsy water Thanks again for the tip guys fin

Doc, From my extensive research :-) It seems that there were quite a few variations in Hansom Cabs. Wheel sizes, window shapes, and metal fittings varied, possibly depending on the actual builder. I think I can safely say that the cab is scaled proportional to the horse :=@. The question then, is, how many hands is the Poser horse? (runs away.....arrgghh). Cheers Ian

Hi, I've been having a lot of success with the following items for late Victorian and Edwardian era: Michael Suit Coat Pak Michael 2.0 Morphing Clothing Pak 1 & 2 Also on a side note for Victoria: The V3 Morphing Fantasy Dress which readily doubles for a wide selection of dresses and with the top parts made transparant also makes an excellent long skirt. Cheers Mark

There is also the Western Pak at Daz which is adaptable to a Victorian suit. And PoserWorld has an Edwardian suit, I think-- very Heathcliff. Some of PhilC's Romantix can be made to work for early Victorian with the right materials. It's a pity KrystalMoon no longer sells out of 3DCommune, she has adapted Poserworld models to many periods. Her textures for the PoserStyle free medieval dress are very Victorian. Emily

Don't need to go to 3D Commune to find Sally Thorgrimson (aka Krystalmoon). Her website is located at the attached link. :) Brynna

Check out cal's stuff, too. www.3dwg.com (IIRC) He has a bunch of turn of the century items, some before and some after, and much of what he has made are the useful background props which make a scene complete: tools and gear. The CDs are a steal for what you get. JeanC has mostly French farmhouse-type items, but many of them are antique, and a lamp or cabinet might be exactly what you need. Carolly
