Thanks to Yamato's tutorial, I was able to put LaRoo's head on V3's body. I'm sure it's equally possible to put V3's head on LaRoo's body. (I did move LaRoo just slightly so the head matched the neck slightly better and I scaled her head up just a little so it looked better to me.)

Why did I do it? Insanity, most likely. ;-)

The one caveat to this hybrid is that you need to do an extra step at the end in order to take advantage of the LaRoo head morphs since they use the injection system.

When you open up the V3 - SR1.cr2 file for the new hybrid character, change the object reference file like Yamato says to your hybrid .obj file. After that, open up the original LaRoo .cr2 file and copy the entire "actor Head" block:

actor head:1
{
blah
blah
}

and paste it into the new hybrid .cr2 file. This puts in the channels that the LaRoo injections uses in the .cr2 file.

I'm sure it's possible to do this with Koshini as well, but it looks like there's some geometry switching going on and I'm tearing out my hair trying to get that part to work in the hybrid file. (And my computer has been crashing all weekend - it wanted Labor Day off as well - so I've lost almost 1/2 my work this weekend. Hitting Save is what kept causing the crashes, before the obligatory lecture starts.) ;-)

Here's a quick pic with LaRoo's head, Koshini's hair (parented to the head), V3's body, Sarah Spriteling magnets, and Bat's Cleric Outfit. Occasionally you can have your cake and eat it, too.

Now all I need to do is to convert some V3 head textures to LaRoo ....

Perhaps Dark_Whisper will develop a LaRoo plugin for the Universal Texture Convertor. Although, frankly, I'm hoping for Posette/P4 Male support next, after Mike 3.

Does your problem with Koshini have something to do with the ears? Her ears are posable body parts. The CR2 won't load the ear geometry unless you've added ear bones to the figure's skeletal structure.

I've been following Yamato's tutorial also, and transplanted the Millennium Cat's head onto Victoria.

I missed that tutorial earlier. Very cool! I decided to give it a try, this is my result: LaRox! I used the Roxanne body (Capsces is a morph goddess!) with Laroo's head. Threw Daz's SpyWear into the Tailor and Voila! I really love this. I think I might end up using this hybrid character. JDexter

I believe I added the bones in. The eyes and ears are separate geometry calls, I think, so I'm having trouble getting that part to work. They just aren't showing up on the hybrid. And multiple computer crashes isn't helping. :( MilCat head on V3. Cool idea. I may have to try that sometime. Cheers!

Yeah...I tried that tutorial...and tried it and tried it and.....finally asked myself: "Self...what is a guy who can't figure out how to reset his complex Timex wrist watch or reprogram the radio stations in his new car even trying to do this tutorial?" I had trouble even reading some of the Tut-data. Sooooo do you think your cat head/vicki body will ever hit the freebies section here...you know...for us Do-it-yourself-incompetents!? :-)
