Subject: Need help making uvmaps for this

Hello Ok i made the first part of the prop which is going to be a waterfall,coverd in vines and ivy and things,but they will be done with trans maps. Now i need help mapping this the rock part each rock has its own group and material i tried in uvmapper but they seem funny So if any of you are mapping gurus please can you email me at rpdseeker@ntlworld.com and il send you the prop to look at, and if you sort the maps out il send you a full copy of this when it hits the store. Now im not doing promos ok admin so please dont move this thread as i need help and thats y i put it here to get it kind regards seeklight

Have you tried spherically mapping each part separately?

Hello yes i tryied all the different faces each time but still same i have a map with all the diff groups on and there are 19 pieces in this part alone each has its shape but i just cant get it to look good enough thanks for the reply regards seeklight

Hello yes i will as soon as i make it one hwole map gimme a few minutes or so ok seeklight i had to make some of the planners and some cylindrical and suck like

Hello phil Well here you go,now i know some of the rocks have the seems ontop of the rock itself ,in this case it wont matter as il line up seems and they will be coverd with ivy and vines so it will be fine ?? what do you think outhers have planner maps and some have sphere maps regards seeklight

I suspect this'll look great in Poser 5, with the proper shaders for reflective/refractive water and wet rocks.

Hello I dont know about that as i only have p4,now can you help as i need a different view. Now on the left of screen image has no bumps and on the right it does ,i switched the right just so to get a better look. I cant tell if the bumps are there or not,they are applyed in the material editor but my eyes are weak my nose is bent and my knees are knackerd ; ) regards seeklight

Yes, the bumps are visible.
