September 2003 Poser Forum Challenge Theme Forever Autumn.

Illustrate the song Forever Autumn by the Moody Blues.

We dont have the challenge page up yet but you can get started any time.

*From Tasha: We came up with an idea! I had to get up at 2 am here as she is on the other side of the world! But we decided the theme should be to make an image out of a song. And we chose the song! Moody Blues-Forever Autumn. They can use any or all part of the song to make the image.

From A_: The basic idea was "illustrate a song" - we've picked out a specific song to illustrate - "Forever Atumn" by the Moody Blues (we hope it's known enough).*

So there you have it. The render should be an illustration from the lyrics of Forever Autumn. Imported objects, backdrops and postwork are OK.

I did a google search and found the lyrics and an online audio of the song. I'm checking with the PTB's before I give a link or post the words, but all you need to do is search for the song and artist and tons of sites come up.

"Forever Autumn" was a solo effort by Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues as a part of the War of the Worlds album in the late 70's. The song was later included on the band's Time Traveller boxed set and I believe has been performed at their concerts. It is an amazing song; Justin went all-out on the vocals to say the least. This is one contest I'm looking forward to... I'm a HUGE Moody Blues fan! I was going to reformat the pc this weekend but something tells me to hold off and work on this challenge instead. :D Brynna, full of Moody Blues info and VERY excited about this one!

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

bnetta, that is usually decided by whoever made the subject. My PERSONAL feeling is that a POSER challenge should be made in... ta-daaah Poser :o)

yes i just ment can you use anouther program to add in backgrounds and maybe some embelishments to the poser figure you make? or does it all have to be done strictly with poser only. (post work would be done with something else right?)

bnetta, the final render has to be in Poser, but how you get there allows for some flexability. For example, if you make your image completely in another program and just render the backdrop, that would, um, defeat the purpose of the challenge (which is to learn Poser). But if you brough in a model or object or used poser figures on a backdrop, that would be ok. Of course, if its all Poser (purist) you learn more, however, that is not the requirement for this challenge. I'll have the challenge page up in a day or two, sorry about the delay. For the full rules page, check the link above.

Personally, I think this is the neatest theme we've had so far!
