I'm in. If they want numbers, my site has had over 300K visitors since Feb 2002, and I've had 60K+ Bryce downloads on Renderosity. Tony

Your our man Tony. 8) Could you point folk in this direction from your site?, the more numbers we have the better our chances of pushing Corel in some sort of direction. Hopefully the right one. Catlin

Count me in on this one as well. Hopefully, this will turn into a great opportunity to get my favorite 3D app out of limbo and back into development. Thanks to all of you. --Carl

Strength in numbers... I'm in. - Art -

Now that is a good idea, showing Vector how many downloads have been done for Bryce products. Perhaps those who have these figures can band together and email the numbers along with a nice letter to Vector. BabaLouie

Possibly BabaLouie but the reality of all things boils down to just two things: Money and choices. They sometimes go hand in hand, but ultimately it's all about money. If they feel it profitable to continue development then perhaps so. If the long term forecast doesn't look promising, then they'll cut their losses, take a tax loss as a bad business investment and we'll all grow old together with our Bryce 4 & 5's. Sad but true, often times businesses do not really see the people behind their products. They do, however, see dollars and cents. Let's hope for the best. - Art -

One question: Will just responding to this thread be considered signing the petition, or will we all need to come back for the actual signing? I need to know so I'll be able to pass that onto a couple of forums I'm involved with. --Carl

Sign the petition when someone(drac?) posts it on petitionsonline.com. A thread just wouldn't be valid in any big companies minds.

carl1954 ( ) posted Fri, 05 September 2003 at 11:06 AM

Thanks for the info on petitionsonline.com. Once I hear it's been posted there, I'll pass the URL on. --Carl :-)

catlin_mc ( ) posted Fri, 05 September 2003 at 2:49 PM

Won't Drac post here first when he's got it set up?

carl1954 ( ) posted Tue, 09 September 2003 at 4:37 PM

Any new developments on the petition? --Carl

catlin_mc ( ) posted Wed, 10 September 2003 at 8:10 AM

Thanks for asking carl, I was beginning to wonder what was going on myself. Have you got it set up yet Mihnea? Catlin

For anybody like me who didn't notice the link at the top of the form right away, or who doesn't visit frequently and might be waiting for a post here... you can sign the petition at: http://www.petitiononline.com/bryce5/petition.html
