Subject: Overly shadowed faces: help?

GiovanniX ( ) posted Mon, 01 September 2003 at 7:17 PM · edited Wed, 31 July 2024 at 7:40 PM

I'm having some -serious- issues in trying to figure out how to keep my Michael figure from having an overly shadowed face (making it look like he's dirty or something). It's even started affecting my Victoria renders as well. It was suggested to me to turn off the shadows from the hair, but that hasn't helped any. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've uploaded two samples to show you what I'm talking about http://www.giovanni-wod.net/images/sfmickey2.jpg http://www.giovanni-wod.net/images/supergals.jpg

What textures are you using? Any bump maps? I seem to recall others having a problem in that area - with some texture sets you have to use the correct maps, depending on whether you're running Poser 4 or P5/ProPack.

Yeah I found out where the problem lies last night. The Bum maps are for the right set (Michael's hi res texture set) but for some reason when I render them now they simply don't come out I'm using Poser 4 however to answer your question :)

Could this be the dreaded JPG vs. BUM bump map problem?
