Anyone know of a model for a horse drawn carriage (hard top), I've checked a few places but can't seem to find one?

PlanIt 3D has several carriages:

  • Conestoga wagon
  • Horse rail
  • Gipsy wagon
  • Stage Coach
  • Chuck

Although this last beats me. I tlooks a lot like the Conestoga wagon.

There is a Surrey at 3dcafe. 2 wheeled, hard top but open. It's at this link. Lannies had one and a hearse but I don't have the file.

Checked that out, it's a two wheeler, if you've ever seen the movie 'EverAfter' or 'Sleepy Hollow' that's the type of carriage I'm looking for,.....hmmm, duh, guess I should post a pic huh......

Zhan - This one was done by Ian Porter a few years back. It used to be posted on Freestuff. He is a member here. This was the closest I could find to that period.

I can do the first one easier but I like the second one better. The first will take about a day. The second 3 to 4 times longer. Do you have a preference?

Electroglyph, I have no time limit, well, it's for the magazine cover contest, I'm just not that good at modeling, and I know you all are so expert at it, the second image from the top is more of what I was looking for, sorry it's from the side, you can see the top of it in the second image from the bottom , there's just no really good resource for historial vehicle models. If you could do it, I would be eternally grateful....8) Zhann

This is the one from Ever After? I should snag a copy and watch it to get a better idea. This is more like a Handsome cab than royal coach. Let me pester my brother in law. He worked for Elric and Lavage. He knows what color socks the best boy was wearing when they filmed. I can probably get some 8x10s or lobby cards out of him that will show a better view.

Yeah, it's from 'Ever After', one of my all time favorite films, farther along after the wedding the prince asks his coachman where Daniel was, they're standing in front of a Handsome cab I think, actually there's a bunch of carriages in that scene all lined up for the guests at the Royal Wedding...I did a search for photos on google, but none of the coach co.s had just the right configuration...

Here is a link to a Carriage museum in Long Island that has 250 historic carriages from the New York area. They might have the type of carriage you are looking for. Here's their email- mail@longislandmuseum.org

Had some luck with the american carrage club. There was nothing exact. The closest thing a Dress Landau, which is actually a convertable and about 100 years too recent. I'm thinking Dover Press probably has some books but P&S won't be open until tomorrow. I have yet to get the film.
