I took these on the 30th. I was trying to reshoot the old Grist Mill and decided to shoot the train station/antique shop as well. First the Grist Mill... Thoughts? Magick Michael

The old Train Station... All three buildings are from the mid 1700's. The Grist Mill is circa 1706 and the Train Station and Antique Shop (formerly the conductors home)about the 1790's, but they were both rebuilt around 1850ish.

They're both very nice shots. But I like the Train Station the most. It has such a wonderful atmosphere.

hi, like the reflections and the trail of light in the first, but the red hue in the second is not working for me.

Pictures appear to me, I shoot them.   Elliot Erwitt

That building in the first is so wonderful....like this shot as much as the other the first time.... The train station looks familiar...did you post Christmas/snow shots of this place before? What a fantastic history behind this architecture.

I am, therefore I create.......

You've captured a wonderful mood in both the shots. I like both... the first one for the beautiful reflection and the second for it's warm colours.

Michelle, Actually both have been shot and posted before. The Grist Mill was shot last November and alot of people thought it look postcardish in the snow shot. That was taken from the same POV but during the day. The Trainstation was actually shot from the other side of the tracks during the day adn I sepia toned it to give it an old look. That shot did not include the Antique Shop though. The train station was my bus stop back in high school in the 70's and the Grist Mill is where the girl lived that gave me my first kiss. We were playing in her barn further up the hill. That was almost 30-35 years ago though, but I still remember it as if it were yesterday! I will look into the history a bit more for you. There are Historical Markers in the area so i am sure I can get you some details. Thanks for the coments everyone! MM
