Just posted the first JCM CR2 Files for characters. In case you arent aware Joint Controlled Morphs are morph targets that are triggered by joint motion, thus giving a simple muscle like movement. It removes the stiff poser look with a slightly more fluid one. These JCM figures implement morphs in the arms, legs, and torso. Included with the CR2 files is a document with some tips that you can use in addition to Nerds Tutorial. Check it out. Learn from it. Use Morph Manager to place the morphs in your own figures. Have fun and remember to send me a copy of any new developments you come up with.

Awesome!

Thanks guys, I noticed no one else posted a JCM character yet so hey I figured why not me. It feels great to give something back to the largest artist community on the web.

Great! saves me from having to finish mine, I have lots of other things to work on. Are you by any chance working on Victoria too?

Director ( ) posted Sat, 22 July 2000 at 11:11 PM

I hope to if I find time, Vicky, Eve, and some of the animals. Wouldn't it be great if everyone could add CJM to a few of the figures.

WarriorDL ( ) posted Sat, 22 July 2000 at 11:15 PM

Since these are for the body of the P4 male and female, these will work on Polly and Paul.

Director ( ) posted Sat, 22 July 2000 at 11:16 PM

Yes sir, just plop the new morph targets into those characters via Morph Manager and presto! JCM in your fav characters.

WarriorDL ( ) posted Sat, 22 July 2000 at 11:21 PM

L Polly and Paul aren't your typical fav P4 characters. These are the two I made using Vickie's head transplanted to the P4 bodies. :o) So Vickie Head Morphs work on them, and P4 body morphs work on them.

Director ( ) posted Sat, 22 July 2000 at 11:31 PM

Still the bodies use the same morphs. So as long as you can copy the morphs with Morph Manager you should be fine. BTW nice job on your creations.

I've started working on morphs for Vicky. I've got a Rt Bicep done and that is about it. I also have an Ab morph. I have not tried JCM with either. Like Director said, I need to find the time!!

PilotHigh ( ) posted Sun, 23 July 2000 at 9:20 AM

I noticed the d/l says PC only. Will MacConverter work on these?

milamber42 ( ) posted Sun, 23 July 2000 at 10:35 AM

I do plan to do leg morphs, but they will take some time. If they had started with Posette's legs and improved them for Vicky, it would be easier. Posette has "athletic" legs.

heyas; um... as you all (probably) know, morph manager doesn't do full body morphs (which is minor). BUT i have recently just found out that when you move morphs with it, it does NOT move the slave channel lines that you need for FBMs and JCMs. so if you use morph manager and these don't work, that's why. (if you DO use morph manager, and they work, tell me what version you have! :) ) thanks for the work, director! :)

Director ( ) posted Sun, 23 July 2000 at 1:19 PM

Bloodsong I found that Morph Manager 4.0 works just fine for moving the entire JCM morph. Download it and give it a shot. As for Mac conversion, I'm not sure since I haven't played with the MacConverter to turn PC CR2 to the mac version, if anyone can convert them, I'll gladly host and post them.
