Or... use the group tool to select the facets you dont want, then do an inverse. or... dont forget to use the materials already included to help speed up the process... for example if you're working on a fingertip, "nails" are probably already assigned a material.

Hiya This is probably in the bleedin' obvious category but I seem to be having brain problems :) When I select parts of the mesh to assign textures to, I quite often select the wrong flippin' facets. Is there a way to de-select part of a group rather than deleting the new group and starting again? Thanks for your time Mon
