I have a lot of text styles I've downloaded, but does anyone know how to make them? Is it just a bitmap image? And if do, how does one make it into a style? Is there a tute somewhere?

Attached Link: http://www.tiemdesign.com/HOWTO/2001/Jan/PS6LayerStyles/default.htm

They are layer styles, just kinda all crammed together into one convenient button. The link explains better than I can since it has pictures.

sure if you want a menu of "your own styles, lets say make a new document open, the styles pallet, (you might want to reset a small set of them, so it's easier. ( don't append ) and delete them all, make a circle with vectoer shape, apply all the effects/layerstyles you need/want.. and then... use you black vectoselection arrow, to selct the shape..click on the new button in the styles window.. and there we have it a new style. click on the |> button and save the style set where all the others are kept, you may load this set, at ant time you need it

this style will also work on text, and I think for an image with a transparent beackground. ( of course the layer style I made in 40 secconds is ugly as hell, but it's now a new style I have - lol

replace " vectoer shape " with "text"

I use styles quite a bit, but I have a lot of various maps from my 3d programs that would make interesting styles if I can just figure out how to get them in there.
