Subject: transmaps???

Been trying to creat my own transmaps, and all I get is a mess. is there a tutorial? Or can somebody explain step by step. I know that I am suppose to paint things black and white... thanks butch

Transmaps are painted over the top of the template for whatever you're looking to transmap. Whatever you paint pure white (RGB 255,255,255) will appear as solid, while everything you paint black (RGB 0,0,0) will be transparent. You can use varying shades of grey to get partial transparencies as well - the darker the shade, the closer to transparent the object will appear. Hope this helps some Paul

Butch, Stormrage did a couple of tutorials on transmaps. They're in the tutorial section of this site. Do a search on Stormrage. That's were I learned to create trans maps. Thanks Stormrage!!
