where Can I get info on making lakes in byrce I have tryed the tutorial in the book but it just wont come out right

Might help if you're a bit more specific about what isn't coming out right, or some screen shots. Basically there are a couple different ways to tackle a lake. I prefer to use a single terrain for the water, and then I sculpt the surrounding banks with more terrains. I've also seen some good results with a single terrain with the middle "dug out", combinded with a water plane. Lets see some screen shots and I'm sure you'll get alot of help here.

Sounds strange, but conside using terrains for the lake surface as well, can give more motion to the water, depends on the lake, I've seen some where you get a strong centre flow through the lake and others that are flat as a pancake. I also tend to go with Muddygrubs style of multiple terrains to make the surrounding banks rather then a single terrain.
