Hey now, long time no see, welcome back, and someone fibbed if they said running your own business allowed you to make your own hours or gave you more time off, seems like you can never get away from it...Lol! Great render too! I LOVE the lighting, very dramatic and lifelike...:)

Finally, I've been wanting to send out the bryce cops to search for you. So glad to hear that you disappearence was for a good reason. There's a reason boss's are so cranky, they don't get much free time :-P Glad to see you back and I left a comment in the gallery regarding your most recent render. Ang
Sorry, Ang... I've missed your lovely typeface, too. :) yep... SylvieB92, that's her... sorry for missing that the first time. Thanks Alvin for anyone who's interested in the lighting... I've used 1 square parallel light (infinite light?... can't remember which bryce calls it) with a procedural gel on it, and two regular spots for fill light. Worked out pretty good.. A tree is actually between the light with the grid gel on it and the subject, but it simulates fairly well a window with a tree casting shadows through it from the outside. I'd like to see this rendered with soft shadows... but I just don't have the computer or patience for that... This took 7 hours to render as it is. Thanks, everyone, for your comments. :)

Been a long time since I posted anything here... life's been extremely busy the past couple of months, and haven't had time to do much Brycing (or anything else, for that matter), but I am now the president and CEO of my own company... and I thought being your own boss meant that you get to choose your own hours... sheeeesh I've been working on this still-life whenever I could spare a few minutes here and there. It started out as my entry for the DTE challenge a couple of months ago; but, as it is now, it wouldn't have passed the requirements... only the apples and grapes (well, and the the glass, too, but not much to that) are Bryce procedural textures... The banana uses the jpg texture which came with the download, with a little procedural bump thrown in. Bryce textured/rendered... downloaded fruit models (can't remember where, I keep thinking avalontree, but these are definitely french, and I think I remember that avalontree is russian. The glass is, naturally, one of mine. Anyway... I know it's not much, but I was pleased with the way this was turning out and thought I'd share. Thanks, ~eric
