VERY annoying....what is it, an animated ad? I can't even look at the other images around it.

We agree with Doug and find it very annoying too. It shows little respect for the surrounding thumbs :(

I hope no epileptic surfers happen apon that annoying flashing thing and fall into a seizure.

I find myself in agreement with you. I do find a rapidly flashing gif thumbnail or ad banner to be incredibly annoying.

Maybe it's an idea to change the TOS not to allow flashing thumbs. They're very annoying indeed and as d_hood said, not very friendly to epileptic surfers.

I posted a comment on the image saying I found the thumbnail to be extremely annoying, amd I got an IM stating, sure it is, got you to click, yes we should definitely have THAT loophole filled, can you imagine everyone wanting to gain attention by flashing thumbs... 'OOOOHH, the humanity of it all! I, I , just can't visit the gallery folks, this, this is terrible, just terrible' Sorry, I was thinking of doing the Hindenburg Tragedy, and was just listening to the broadcast, wow, hisyory you can hear....8)

I specifically didn't click it because it pissed me off. It's a lame way to attract attention to your image. I think Rayraz is right, animation thumbs ought to be TOS'd.

I most certainlty agree with you Doug. It was the quickest way to turn me away from viewing an image. I just never view these sorts of thumbnails.
