Greetings. To make it short: I'm trying to render a 3DS object in Poser 4. It asks how big, blah blah blah, then does NOTHING except grey out all my controls. I need to quit out of poser and start again to do anything, and I still don't have my prop. Any ideas what causes this, and/or how to keep it from happening?

try converting the 3ds to an obj

Discordian5... sounds like that's one of the import/export problems that the current (4.02.118) patch is designed to correct.

I tried using Painter to convert it, but it said it had too many parts to import. How else can I do it? And I have the most recent patch installed.

Did you delete your old import plug-ins before installing the new ones? If you didn't, you will find that you now have TWO 3dsmax import options on your list. One of them is wrong, one of them is right. -Darth_Logice
