It's weekend again, - and a beautiful it is too. As usual we went down to the beach to enjoy the "off season". :) This weekend we're walking north on Vilano Beach. I just love that area, - it's a part of our beach that "development" seems to have forgotten. Less people out there today; and the tide is several feet higher than normal, - and the surfers had to fight to get out far enough to surf.

..But; I did find my first whole Conch shell. :) The beach was full of shells in all seizes that Isabel has spit up onshore. We don't know yet if she (the storm that is) will come ashore, or if she will turn north. I hope so. It's kinda eerie here. All images taken with my Olympus 560. Haven't posted any of them in my gallery. That seems so full of beach images lately. lol

Stay dry. Folks tell me the shelling is good after such things.

Looks beautiful....hope you stay safe but I would really prefer it not head up this way.... We periodically get beaten to death with the hurricanes that swing right by you guys.

I am, therefore I create.......

Thank you guys! :) Just back from another beachwalk on Vilano beach. Haven't even checked the "roll of film" (not really, - it's digital. lol) yet. Michelle; sure won't be fun wherever this monster hits. :( Looks horrible!

thanks for sharing these :) it's been a while since ive been out on the beach just before a storm....the dark clouds seeming lower in the sky and the air having a fresher feel to it and that first thunder....

Pictures appear to me, I shoot them.   Elliot Erwitt
