i don't know how some of you are uploading pics into the gallery, when i can't even get there, although the forum seems to work ever since last night it seems RR is having some major problems & my ebots are stacking up ARRRRGGG! been following the problem in the Forum News, & it's affecting quite a few people i realize they're working on it, but won't be able to view or comment till it's fixed, so stop uploading!

It does seem verrrrry sloooow... 1841 users on now.

i was just wondering how big of a problem it is, hate to see anything bad happen to the site think i'll check back later do something useful, like dust :p

seems that the forum uploads pretty quickly though...I'm wondering if Renderosity has enough drive space to keep up with all the uploads...just a thought...surely they have prepared for future growth??

i hate to say it & maybe i'm just being paranoid, if you don't follow the main forum news, which i rarely do but had a look to see if there was mention of this problem... anyway, seems a lot of the merchants are upset about RR taking another 10% of their profits & maybe someone has maliciously thrown a few wrenches into those gears you see in the new RR logo... "We just banned several IP addresses which were running software in an attempt to extract content from the site. I guess they didn't realize how big the site really is, but they were causing problems anyway"

From what I understand cynlee it's really just the server bottlenecking.... :~) Happens every once in a while.... I doubt very much that the merchant issue has anything to do with the server problems.... The software they are talking about is probably the kind that is used to collect images. Image theft clean and quick.... and I suppose that could probably slow things down... shrug However, I haven't seen the thread, so I shall not be commenting and contributing to rumours, until I know it's true.

oh no, no- i certainly don't want to start any rumors, it was just coincidence i'm sure! so how long does it bottleneck? i know very little about computer stuffies... sigh

Hi, yesterday I wanted to see the gallery and to comment some ebots. Also I wanted to upload one image. My DSL is 512 Kb, just flies but not in Rosity, even when RR is working "normal". To see and comment images must be a moment, but it's a continuous wait :( The continuous and big growth, every day, of the galleries need a solution, perhaps a monthly payment to access to RR can be a solution: 1$ per month is enough, the access to the marketplace, of course, free; but the access to the rest of the web, only for members. 1$ per member is nothing, but RR could apply this money to improve the connection. Also this could avoid a lot of duplicate (triplicate...) members. The galleries of DAZ are only for the members of the Platinum Club. If RR wanna be competitive must be of payment. I don't know the number real of members, 20.000? 50.000? 1$ x 20.000 = 20.000 $/ month => speedy connection and avoid the 99% of duplicate members. Speed and neat => RR better :)

This wait has become a full time Job. In a sense I agree with Enax....unfortunately...You have to Pay for Service. This is the Straw that breaks the Camels Back ....and Renderosity has become slower and slower ...IMHO...too slow, and it would try the Patience of a Saint. Yesterday...yep...forget it....today...for Me anyway...looks the same...a build up of ebots...but, it may take an hour to View One Favorite Artist....so My Friends, I apologise...not on behalf of Renderosity...as I am still in the Dark, what their problem really is...I apologies, that I cannot view My Chosen Artists...I cannot access My Home Page.....and, unfortunately, I now will start to delete ebots that continuously build up....as I can't possibly ketch-up...have a nice Day...Week...Month...and take care! The official word is server issues..... They are creating new indexes and so forth and everytime they do it slows down to a molasses drip, and then will speed back up and then slooowww back down..... They should be finishing this soon.... we hope! Yes it has been rather intolorable I've been able to comment on a few images but not really cruise and enjoy as I would like, but hey at least my toilets are clean.... :~) No more potty mouth..... ;~) at least for the moment.

oh boo-hoo-hoo-hoo, just got home from going to the big city, where i took a lot of cool pics of Austin: the capital, the university tower, town lake & auditorium shores & old hangouts like Austin World Headquarters, now just a ghost, where so many greats played so many moons ago, Janis, BB, Zappa, Willie, etc., etc.... i'm excited to start working on them to post... & here i sit, relaxing, wanting to view the gallery & i still can't get in! & still the ebots multiply... sigh i'd go for 1$/mo, 12$/yr, if i thought it would help... The more database intensive gallery viewing options have been disabled at this time in order to get performance back to a reasonable level. This includes MostViewed, MostCommented, and BestRanked. This is temporary until we have this worked out. We appreciate everyone's patience with this issue.
