Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 09 3:46 am)
I assume that by PC, you mean the Platinum Club... What exactly is a 3-month subscription to PC ? As far as I know you can purchase either the annual membership (pay once for a whole year) or the monthly one (an initial fee plus monthly payments)... I've seen 3-month subscription payments to PoserWorld but not DAZ PC... Are you sure, you are not a bit confused ? Jon

Nope, DAZ never offered a 3 month subscription. The Platinum Club started last year with the annual membership only and now you can decide between the annual membership for $99 or the monthly membership with the $29.95 starting fee and the additional monthly membership fee of $7.95 where you get a $5 voucher each month.

In that case I would recommend getting in touch with them and sort things out. At the link above you can find their contact info. My own experience with their customer support has been excellent (in the few times I needed it) and I've read numerous threads here that testify the same. JonYou could get a 3 month subscription to the Premium Club. Following is an extract from the e-mail confirming my purchase. __________________________________________________________ Thank you for your recent order from DAZ Productions, Inc.! As far as I know, the $29.95 Platinum Club Membership charge on order 261160 is **not** for a 3-month membership. It's the initial start-up fee for the monthly membership. That means that on August 9, 2003 you should have been charged with an $7.95 additional membership fee (in order to keep your membership for another month), on September 9, 2003 another $7.95 etc. More details on the link provided. JonLooks like someone already explained. The $29.95 is the initial start-up fee, then you're suppossed to pay a monthly $7.95 unless you pay Annually.

After that if you don't like it you don't renew. ;)

I don't know what's going on. When I bought mimic pro there was supposed to be a discount and I got a voucher instead and the voucher apparently was time sensitive. It expired before I even realized the deal. Then I thought they were going to renew it for a nice customer relations thing but heard nothing back since the first email saying they would but needed my email address. I've sent several emails since and just no response at all.
I had the same problem, as have others. Reply to your invoice email as that brings it to DAZ's attention that there was a problem with that order. It sounds as if DAZ was supposed to send an email to confirm continuing the membership and that doesn't seem to have happened for many people. It's a new membership system, so there's bound to be growing pains. Your credit card has probably not been chatged the $7.95 fee. I still haven't decided how long to remain a member of the club. The intro was fantastic, but the trickle of new products makes it questionable how long to remain a member for somebody on a tight budget. The time-limited PC Club Romeo & Juliet costumes add an interesting wrinkle to the membership. It's an added incentive to remain a member if a lot of products don't stay in the club. Otherwise, it's a question of whether it's worth leaving the club and rejoining when there's enough new material to warrant spending another $29.95. A person could rejoin a year later and not have missed out on anything in the club. With some items expiring, it's not that easy. Remaining a PC Club member depends on a lot of factors: 1. How much new stuff comes out: It doesn't matter whether or not the items remain in the club indefinitely or expire. Right now, joining the club is an incredible bargain because there is so much high quality low cost content in the club. Once somebody has bought all the content they need, staying is a question of what's new. Since a monthly fee is being charged, the cost of new models has to figure in that fee. There's a lot of different purchasers here. For somebody who spends $10/month or more on models, they'll stay members. For somebody who hasn't bought a lot of $10 (or higher) models on a regular basis, it's a harder choice. For the latter member, if that person only buys one new product a month, that product costs $10 ($1.99 for the model and $7.95 for the membership). 2. How much DAZ Original content comes out that is worth buying: The vouchers and the 30% PC Club discount are only good on DAZ original products. Since DAZ Originals only account for about 10% of all Premier store products (based on what's in New Releases)), this will only be an incentive if there's a much higher percentage of DAZ Original products being offered on a regular basis. With the initial sale pricing for Michael 3 and the PC voucher and discount, PC Club members got another $23 off the sale price of Michael 3 and the 2 morph packs. That's great, but how many months in a year does DAZ have an Original must get product? 3. Products that don't remain in the club: If not remaining a member means permanently losing out on a good price for some products, it's an incentive to stay. This is still an issue with factor 1. Unless there is a lot of new content every month, it almost doesn't matter whether items expire or not, unless there's a lot of expiring content that somebody really has to have. Like I said, I'm still giving the club a few more months before I decide whether to drop out. It's too soon to make any final determination.

I bought a 3 month subscription to the PC just over 2 months ago. but now when I try to buy anything I'm told I need an annual membership. I e-mailed Daz on Monday about it but haven't received a reply yet. If I don't my full 3 Months value or a rebate on what I paid I will feel I've been cheated And will be very unhappy about ever buying from Daz again Alex
