Subject: Michael 3's Penis

drafter69 ( ) posted Wed, 17 September 2003 at 1:01 PM · edited Wed, 04 December 2024 at 6:10 PM

It has been most likely already answered but the renders I see of Michael 3 usually show him circumcised. Each time I have worked at learning how to use him he always ends up uncircumcised. What am I doing wrong?

lhiannan ( ) posted Wed, 17 September 2003 at 1:03 PM

M3's Foreskin can be made Transparent in the Materials setting.

Foxhollow ( ) posted Wed, 17 September 2003 at 1:09 PM

it's set up to use transparency on the Foreskin Material to circumcise him. Just set to 0% Transparency to bring him back to "normal". As the purveyor of foreskin morphs for all previous figures, I find myself out of a job with Michael 3.. ehhe. But fear not... I have been working on some variations.. like a rolled-back foreskin on the flacid member. DAZ did put some work into M3's weapon and much "posing" can be accomplished without morphs, but there's always room for variation. Hopefully I'll have some before too long, though it's been pretty hectic here lately.

Thank you very much for the help. I do not know enough about Poser 5 to have looked there. While DAZ certainly makes good products I very much resent that they do not include some pdf file that explains to beginners how to use the features of their products.

Can Micheal 3 get an erection?

Laver2k ( ) posted Wed, 17 September 2003 at 1:55 PM

Why would you want him to have one...? Lol, am i the only one thats finds it funny that his penis is detachable? I wanna change those pings, their icky.

Berserga ( ) posted Wed, 17 September 2003 at 2:02 PM

Because if he can't Vicki will be sad. :(

Laver2k ( ) posted Wed, 17 September 2003 at 2:05 PM

Well he could always detatch it and return it to Daz3d to get a replacement...

praxis22 ( ) posted Wed, 17 September 2003 at 2:42 PM

Vicky's got her own, (at RDNA) Ewwww! :P

LaurieA ( ) posted Wed, 17 September 2003 at 2:53 PM

hehehe...don't feel bad drifter69: took me a few minutes to find that one out myself ;o). I was terrorized that all my nekkid M3's (if there ever are any...LOL) would be uncircumcised. Most of us middleaged folks here in the U.S. are used to seeing a circumcised one, since for many years it was "mandatory" due to "health" reasons, not religious. It's elective now for quite a few years. Laurie

I just wanted to know because I do erotic art work, I guess I can ask at Renderotica, that's where I have to post my erotic art work because male nudes are looked at with disdain here. I haven't purchased M3 as yet, but haven't seen that the advantages are worth the upgrade price and then I'd also have t buy him a whole new wardrobe for the non-erotic pics I do.

Allen9 ( ) posted Wed, 17 September 2003 at 4:12 PM

Nope, there's an M3 to M2 figure included that allows you to use the M3 face on an M2 body that can still wear all M2's old clothes.

whbos ( ) posted Wed, 17 September 2003 at 6:17 PM

Since M3's tool is a separate figure, I wonder if it would conform to V3. Just a sick thought. For those drag queen scenes. Why did they make it a separate figure anyway? Just to make the clothes fit better. That seems the only logical reason to me.

Tom, A few of the clothing makers are doing converts of their M2 clothing to M3, and the conversion isn't exactly difficult (tedious, but not difficult). Most of the heavy jackets fit him pretty good to start. Pants need a little work. Short sleeve shirts a bit. Long sleeve shirts are more tough, but doable. And for erotic art, don't forget there are other substitutes. Ulf's figure (for free over at GPA), is much better than the new genitalia. You have to manually place it though, since it doesn't conform. Foxhollow, PLEASE do morphs for his new equipment. It's a nice base mesh, but it allows for very little variation. Resizing it while retaining the fit isn't easy, the foreskin doesn't morph at all, the testicle morphs just look silly. His new equipment is better than M2's original package, but it still needs lots of work. I tried some morphs on my own, but my software won't let me grab the right verticies easily enough to get it done in a reasonable amount of time (4 hours wasted). LaurieA, I was often the only one in my gym classes who wasn't mutilated as a newborn. I asked my father why they didn't get it done. He replied that the doctor wanted an extra $20 to do it. For once, thank you Pop for being cheap. Isn't it fun to talk about male digital genitalia! God, I'm easily amused.

PapaBlueMarlin ( ) posted Wed, 17 September 2003 at 6:35 PM

My guess is to circumvent the whole genitalia option somehow...

morbidpeeches ( ) posted Wed, 17 September 2003 at 8:17 PM

Just a quick comment.. whbos, it does. ^^;

elizabyte ( ) posted Wed, 17 September 2003 at 10:57 PM

Apparently, you can also use M3's equipment on Ichiro. I can't say how I came by this information (it wasn't I who did this, just in case anyone wonders ;). bonni

Phantast ( ) posted Thu, 18 September 2003 at 5:15 AM

But why does M3 have genitals at all, when V3 doesn't?

Foxhollow ( ) posted Thu, 18 September 2003 at 7:02 AM

M3 can get an erection on his own. but it's a bit limited. The penis is in 4 sections which can be bent individually to a reasonable approximation, but only a "halfway" solution. Still.. this is a great advancement over previous figures.

lhiannan ( ) posted Thu, 18 September 2003 at 11:41 AM

M3 has external genitalia, as much as you'd see from just looking. V3 also has external genitalia, as much as you'd see from just looking. Hers is contained in the GenCrease 1 & 2 dial.

Tomsde ( ) posted Thu, 18 September 2003 at 2:59 PM

I have the digigenital prop that looks like a realistic penis, but it would be nice to have something more natural native to the figure itself. Don can get a limited and unnatural looking erection and Judy has a vagina. I was glad to see V3 had one too, because her lack of one previously seemed unnatural and strange to me. Even if people wanted to do classical studies with no sexual connotations, it would weird and unnatural for a human figure not to have genitalia. So what's all the fuss? We all have one thing or the other.

Phantast ( ) posted Fri, 19 September 2003 at 5:07 AM

Come on - the Gencrease dial hardly gives a realistic shape to the pubic area. I'm not asking for internal gynaecological detail, but I would like to be able to make a simple pose of a standing nude that looks the right shape around the crotch. The best solution I've found is with using the hip replacement prop made by Traveler, which, while designed for V2, can be fitted to V3 with a little work.

lhiannan ( ) posted Fri, 19 September 2003 at 8:12 AM

Not that it's any of your business, but the GenCrease 2 dial set to 1 gives pretty much the same basic appearance I have standing nekkid, unless I go holding things open. That's probably a TOS violation, but I don't care. I get tired of the "Michael has a penis, why doesn't Vicky have a vagina?" A vagina is an INTERNAL structure. The question you want is "Why doesn't Vicky have more detailed labia, vulva and clitoris?"

pdxjims ( ) posted Fri, 19 September 2003 at 8:50 AM

I'm more than willing to chime in on male genitalia talk. I know what I'm talking about there. But when you get into female genitalia structure...well, sorry folks, this guy has NO experience to comment. I didn't even know there was a GenCrease 2 dial.

Caly ( ) posted Fri, 19 September 2003 at 9:03 AM

lol I hadn't even realized those crease morphs existed. :) I do know that M3's equipment is better than M2's... though the thumbnail sux. :D

Ardino's Perfect G! in the Marketplace here is the best solution I've seen to make V3 more realistic. It's a very well done morph package and makes Vickie 3 look much more realistic ... even when "tight-lipped". It does require a remapping of Vickie to get the genital materials to work better, but Ardino's instructions are simple to follow.

Tomsde ( ) posted Fri, 19 September 2003 at 5:00 PM

I would like to chime in here as well. Ardino's Claudio is a reworked P4 male, but has the most realisticly reworked penis of all the characters I've ever bought. If you would like an older man for your scenes with realistic genitalia, he's worth the money, plus he comes with many poses and morphs. Not only that, but Ardino provides the base figure that you can rework and remaps for a younger fellow if you want. He has done some of the best Poser characters I've ever seen, I wish he would do more male figures.
