Subject: P5 shadows question

Is there a known problem with P5 shadow casting? In a scene with 2 figures (V3 & M2) and a large room prop, the 2 figures don't cast any shadows on one another unless I hide the room (which I discovered by accident). If the room is visible, these shadows disappear and you obviously get a much flatter-looking render. It doesn't make any difference whether the room itself has its shadow casting turned on or off. Each figure does show the shadows cast by itself but absolutely none from the other figure. Any help would be appreciated.

What kinds of shadows are you using? Ray traced or shadow mapped? Are the lights directional or spotlights? If you use mapped shadows, switch to the shadow lite cams and verify that they are zoomed to the figures.

stewer--the shadows work fine, so long as the room prop is hidden. When the room prop is visible, the figures no longer cast any shadows on one another. I think the presence of the room, even with its own shadow casting property turned off, somehow triggers this bug. I am using DAZ' global lighting set and rendering with Firefly with ray tracing turned off. I guess I'll try the P4 engine to see if it has the same bug.
