Subject: More Daz updates....

THe new ProjectZ, Road Warrior, Shini-Tuar, and Woodland Treasures in Premium. Pirate Pack with two seperate textures sets for it in Platinum (looks great). Woo hoo! M3's getting new duds pretty quick. I love the look of the Pirate stuff. and I had to get ProjectZ. Anything by 3dWizard, Gorodin, or Sturk is great, and they all contributed to this package. I'd have gotten it just for the hair. And I got my free boots! Hooray!

tonymouse ( ) posted Fri, 19 September 2003 at 7:44 PM

For whatever reason I can't get to daz from my home computer?? Did the Ichiro_taur go up too?

MachineClaw ( ) posted Fri, 19 September 2003 at 7:49 PM

Ichiro_taur did not, only the Kosh_taur. I hope there will be one for both models. Daz may not be done updating also, never know. don't really feel like paying for 2 models but I may have to. neice saw the preview pictures and wanted art done. Nothing like having a 6 year old for a client UGH!

macmullin ( ) posted Fri, 19 September 2003 at 7:50 PM

I purchased my M3 last week along with both head and body morphs. I see that Daz is offering a free boot pack to purchasers. Do you know when this is going to be made available?

MachineClaw ( ) posted Fri, 19 September 2003 at 7:51 PM

the free boot pack should be in your account. go check and look for bootsM3.exe file (something like that) it's a 19mb download.

It's funny but the pirates' stuff is really good real life clothes for M3. I wasn't going to buy any more this week. Really I wasn't. But I think I'll have to indulge. Yo ho ho

DraX ( ) posted Fri, 19 September 2003 at 8:44 PM

What about the hair in the Rogue Warrior promo? Looks familiar but can't place it (then again, it could be beautifully sculpted in P5 or just painted on, too)

Dave-So ( ) posted Fri, 19 September 2003 at 9:10 PM

I can't find the Road Warrior package...

Waaahhhh! I want the super-cute 'taurs and DAZ won't let me buy them! It looks like they're not technically up yet, just the texture set! D'oh!

Gareee ( ) posted Fri, 19 September 2003 at 9:41 PM

yeah they were up, but I think there were updates they hadn't added... LLF mentioned this...

Dave-So, that was a typo up there... it's Rogue Warrior.

hmmm I bought the Kosh Taur earlier and now it's gone? Maybe something was wrong with the file? I couldn't get the hair to load, so maybe it has to be fixed? Does anyone know?

Quite nice updates, aren't they? I'm also happy to see Gordana's Legionnaire textures moved into Special Interest and discounted. Methinks I'll have to buy them now.

randym77 ( ) posted Sat, 20 September 2003 at 2:35 PM

The Rogue Warrior page is a bit confusing. It doesn't tell you that you need the Fantasy Warrior outfit to use the textures. (At least, I'm assuming you do.) I think it must be an oversight, because Daz usually lists that kind of thing. It just has "M3 base" listed under Required Products.

LonCray ( ) posted Mon, 22 September 2003 at 2:59 PM

Randy, I was under the impression that M3 textures go directly to M3, not to outfits in the middle like on M2. V3 is the same - you apply her clothing textures directly to her. Thus, Fantasy Warrior isn't necessary for Rogue Warrior. Right?

RHaseltine ( ) posted Mon, 22 September 2003 at 3:29 PM

Those are the second skin textures, a special case. I was confused but the previews definitely show clothing standing away from the body (especially the boots) so it's either a full clothing pack or, most likely, textures for the Fantasy Warrior outfit as randym says.

randym77 ( ) posted Mon, 22 September 2003 at 4:47 PM

"Randy, I was under the impression that M3 textures go directly to M3, not to outfits in the middle like on M2. V3 is the same - you apply her clothing textures directly to her. Thus, Fantasy Warrior isn't necessary for Rogue Warrior. Right?" Wrong. V3 has regular, V2-type clothing, as well as the "second skin" textures that take advantage of her material zones. M3 is the same. If you look at the "Rogue Warrior" clothing, it looks just like the Fantasy Warrior clothing, which is definitely not of the "second skin" type. It really was confusing, because the "Rogue Archer" costume is a second-skin type outfit, and that might lead you to believe that "Rogue Warrior" is the same. But it's not. I notice they've changed the page. "Fantasy Warrior" is now listed as a required product for "Rogue Warrior," so it must have been a mistake.
