Ok so im trying to recreate a picture of this building. The model is in the early early stages of development but one thing I cant seem to figure out. The main box for the building looks to be deformed as it go's down like its getting wider but in reality its a square box.. Any ideas? Camera is at 35mm and doesnt help any way I mess with it, it still looks deformed.. Thanks in advance. Ibanezcollector

Try to increase the distance between camera and building then adjust focal length to obtain the same picture as above. You will have less deformed building Hope it helps, Yves P.S : great simple object I would like to see the final pic ;=)

Try 75mm to 80mm.

It's not being distorted at all. The angle of the camera is giving you that effect. If you look closely to the original picture you will see the same effect happening. Use a piece of paper on the sides of the building of the original picture and you should notice that the paper isn't straight.

I'd advise you to adjust the perspective of the original photo before using it. I've had a quick go using the little image you posted. Although the perspecitive is no longer "real", it is a whole lot easier to model from. Send me an IM if you want me to correct the original for you.

Cheers,
Mark
