A lot of people post technical complaints about Poser and invaribaly someone asks what their system is, memory, video, os etc. Would it be possible for us to add that info to our profile page if we wish to share that info? It doesn't have to be a series of check boxes, maybe just a blank field where we could enter os=xp,video=ti4200,mem=1.5gig,processor=amd2.5,poserver=5.2

If its voluntary..I have no problems with it..if its forced I will have a problem with it.

why not just add it to your profile page yourself anyway?

Wouldn't have an issue with it either, but I agree that there is several boxes already there for this kind of info. Would certainly help when people have a problem.

Maybe even better, a signature file for posts that could contain this info like they do on the tech boards...

It would probably be a waste. How many people would actually look up someone's profile to get that information before answering a question. Much easier to put it in the post with the question...even if it means the questioner has to be asked to come back and post it.

If it became a requirement I, for one, would feel it would be an invasion of privacy. That kind of information on a profile page makes it easy for R'osity to collect, "collate", and use for whatever. It's bad enough the "Gatesman" tries to get that kind of info from us.

yeah maybe you're right. I doubt too many people would run out and look up the info. I just see posts by the admin in the Poser forum to include system info with Poser tech issues so I thought this might be handy.

doesnt matter if you doubt people would look, the benefit of rosity putting the option up instad of just u doing it yourself (thought about this for a min)is that people would know that information could be availabel. if someone is really tryin to help someon out, they would look. i dont think it would be much inconvenience. very helpful idea.

Hmmm, some how it ate my post that I posted before. What I was saying was maybe to put it in the profile and then have a checkbox when posting to include that one or two lines of info in the post. That way it would make everyone happy and yes, make it voluntary for people who are concerned about that info.
