Well...since i got absolutely NO replies last time i posted this...here she is again. Ornithopter, inspired by 'Dune: House Atreides' Great book series.

I know the emphasis is supposed to be on the ship, but, lol...the mat on those hills together with the lighting is seriously top notch, VERY nice. Nearly like soft velvet, love it. AS

This is a WIP, yes? OK, I couldn't get it out of my head that I'd seen these things before.....then I remembered....They look a lot like machines you see in the game 'Descent', very angular with huge polygonal faces. Also, the sand couldn't be stacked that high and looks unrealistic, however, the sand TEXTURE looks brilliant! Hope this helps. The Bryster

I've never even heard of Descent. I realize that the sand wouldn't be stacked so high, but then again the Ornithopter concept is impossible as well. Plus this image is based on my imagination of what the world of Arrakis (or Dune, if you so please) looks like. Someone once said "Imagination is far more powerful than logic." And if they didn't...they should have.
